I know we have GW2 and others coming out but the very fact that there is no classes and no levelling gets me really excited (even more so than GW2 sometimes...) especially after grinding my way through SWTOR and suffering my assassin class... I would probably put it with GW2 as my most anticipated games. |

No I am not. In the begining I followed it for a while, but then I realised that it is just another Themepark with Voiced Quest much like SW:TOR and with a simili skill system instead of levels, but the scope of the game is that of a Themepark. I am looking forward for two games as it stands, GW2 and Arche Age. In the mean time I am mainly having fun a couple of hours a day playing WoT untill either of the above titles come out.

Same old themepark. Play for a month, enjoy, then burn out and move on. |

Yes I am excited about it. As much or more than I am for GW2. The main thing is they are trying something Different. Finally no elves, dwarves or fantasy settings!! Plus the change in character development with skills. I at one time had hopes for SWToR but those got dashed with the same grind for gear. so you can raid, to get more gear, so you can raid, to get more gear....... =( I am really looking foreward to it. I will be playing this game and supporting it from day 1 just because they are at least trying to get away from the same tired MMO system we have had for the last 7+ years. I am concerned with Funcom tho. I was there at AO & AoC launch.. ugh... even tho AoC turned out to be one of my favorite MMO's the launch was teribad. Hopefully they can pull this one off a little smoother. TSW and GW2 will hopefully fill my online game needs =) We will see I guess > crosses fingers< |

Not really looking forward to it. Although I do check up on it every once in a while. The setting seems interesting but the combat, from the few videos that I saw, is underwhelming. It's also not seamless, from what I remember reading about it. I could be wrong on that point though. Besides that, Funcom doesn't exactly have a very good track record when it comes to launching MMOs. Their other two MMOs had terrible launches so I will definitely stay away from TSW until a few months after launch.

Originally posted by ShakyMo Was talking about this earlier in fact and I'm not so sure it is anymore. In many ways the way the content in this game is presented is much like Skyrim, in that you go out, see what's there and do your own thing. No two people are likely to have the same exact levelling experience as a result. Which is kind of counter to a themepark is it not? Where everyone is led down the same tracks towards endgame. Sure the personal story is set, but you can do that whenever you like. You have complete freedom in this game to just do what ever you want. That is something Themepark mmo's do not offer. Certainly not saying that GW2 is a sandbox though, not sure what it is...maybe it's something new.
On topic: My interest for Secret World died when they said that they were going to charge for the box, a sub and have a cash shop at launch. There are plenty of other games on the horizon for me to play without supporting a company's attempt at triple dipping it's player base. |

Keeping an eye on it that's for sure :) but I read today the CCP targeted this year for the release of World of Darkness... hmmm not sure if that's reliable but it could have the potential to take my attention away from TSW. Either way, I will play GW2 and one MMORPG that I'll sub for... currently it looks like TSW will be that second MMORPG. |

Originally posted by snapfusion GW is one of the first MMOs with significant PvE persistance of action. The dynamic event system truly changing the world is very sandboxy. Or at least virtual worldy. Sure its not perfect but its a huge push in the right direction. |

I'm absolutely stoked for TSW. I get my hopes up even more reading that there might be an open beta, since launch is 1.5 months away, we're closing in for one! TSW all the way!
*note, will also be playing GW2. I don't have to choose between since it's not monthly ;]
star wars will be unsubbed though. |

Ya im very excited because, watching another Funcom trainwreck will give me a good laugh, and a good laugh at all the suckers that bought into the hype just to get burned by funcom. Normally I would feel sorry for the poor saps that buy into this game, but not this time. Theres ample information on Funcoms track record that it cant be ignored. You ignore it and get burnt, its all on you at that point. I cant wait for this game to launch because im going to be right here to rub salt into the wounds.
