@Blackbrrd
In some games there is an entire type of crafting called 'tailoring' which in the fantasy realm would involve magic properties and protections. In the sci fi world it could still easily apply just call it something like nano-fibers.
So in many games you only have a few families of crafting talioring being a HUGE one in many games, but not for this one.
so again, what we do know about this game is what kind of crafting will NOT be in the game but we still dont know what crafting WILL be in the game.
Finally, I refer to 99.9% of the developers outcomes when they are not explict.
does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |

Clothing is statless
You can buy clothing You can get clothing as drops You get clothing for collecting certain decks of skills, that is faction specific e.g. dragon players collecting the ninja deck get a ninja outfit You get clothing based on your faction ranking Pvp uniforms are based upon which archetype your majority of skills are from and your faction ranking There are items with stats - weapons, chakras, totem, fetishes, jewelry etc.. no doubt these will be craftable |

While we don't (or can't) reveal the nature of crafting, we do know it isn't the same old boring / useless wow / rift / war / swtor style crafting model
Devs have stated crafted gear will be very important |

Originally posted by Sora2810 That's right. It's very sandbox and inspired my mindcraft. Go to http://www.thesecretworld.com and check out an interview with Joe Bylo (or something along those lines) from back in November. he says it there. He also said back then that the crafting mechanics are ready, just that they had to expand a lot on the number and types of items that can be made. I signed up for beta, but have not received a key yet so... I have a friend though that plays the game. Btw, after 25 hours of gameing he had only unlocked 4.8% of the skill wheel. sound promising in terms of content. The Ultimate Breakdown |
