Sorry OP but this is an over reaction on your part. TSW is not currently P2W at all. The XP enhancement item just speeds up advancement once a day for an hour if I recall correctly.  It doesn't grant them PVP victory or take any of the challenge away. Frankly it feels most useful for some one that just wants an alt in another faction. The "item mall" is currently just a big clothing store with a few kittys on the side.

 

I can't say the game will not ever go in that direction though. I can't predict all future outcomes.  It just isn't P2W right now. I can say I hope there is never a lock box and key system ever...

 

I do mean ever.

Pay to win = A game you NEED to buy the item to be able to beat it. Time accelerator just give more xp to the player, not a super awesome uber weapon and item that make them harder to beat/easier to kill with.

Since when are XP accelerators Pay2Win? Lot's of games do something similar and it is not a pay2win situation, mostly for people who want to level up alts anyways!

i am psyched that Secret World is going B2P because I couldn't afford the sub along with the other games I play, this way I can log in from time to time and play a good game without having to shell out money for it wach month! Great way to go on this game IMO!

So is this game F2P or B2P now?  I would probably play it if so.  I'm just not paying for a subscription fee for a game any longer for the forseeable future.

I don't care if it's pay to win or not.  Almost every game out there requires you to pay some money or offers advantage for those who do.  Pay to win is just an idiotic marketing slogan like "f2p".  When it comes to game cost what matters most is the total cost of play and game access.
