Vladimir recently posted some pictures he took during a trip to NYC on the official forums, which show some of the real life areas used in the Illuminati starting area. These are pretty cool. http://forums.thesecretworld.com/showthread.php?t=37096 This link has side-by-side picture comparisons: http://forums.thesecretworld.com/showpost.php?p=1180463&postcount=28

I agree, it's a really nice set of pictures. Strbldsnch compiled a bunch of side-by-side comparison pictures from the ones Vladimir took, which are easier to see: Using the real world as the gameworld does make this game more interesting to me. Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

That's pretty epic. One of the many cool things about a game taking place in current time. |

Same here. I was looking at the pictures and comparing them to in-game places from memory, but the side by side comparisons were pretty astonishing. Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

Very cool. My girlfriend grew up in New York and was commenting on the attention to detail they put into it. I wonder how the London locals compare to the New York ones.

Very cool, but it won't help Funcom retain players, such is the nature of themeparks. It's a losing battle trying to pump out more content than players can consume before the next round of content comes.
