I'll come clean and say that I didn't read every single post in this thread. I saw the title, scanned through a few of the replies, and decided to answer the original question with this:

Stay tuned this week. We'll be giving you a few hints to what's next for The Secret World. You're going to love it.

In short: Does this game have lastability? Oh yes.

I will translate for you: "Stay tuned this week. We'll be giving you a few hints to what's next"

Means: you will get information about more content this week, not the actual content.

Cool

Thanks for the info

1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

JohnyRag sounds awesome to me. What's zzz about Asia? We only have Fusang and Dragon HQ. Really, nobody want the Great Wall? Really? Oh, if it's Asia, i want to back in time again and face Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire.

Of course, mounted archery is necessary.

OP: Linky would be nice, thank you

The quote is legit, the interpretation is not. ;)

I found the post on the official forums as well, but before they deliver or say something more about what they are adding, I don't care too much. Might happen next week, might take a month.

and a bit more from Ragnar

We will be talking about a few things this week that will hopefully help ease your concerns regarding longevity. TSW is a living, breathing world, and as a game it will keep growing and expanding -- that's exactly why we have a subscription model. We're not going to stop working just because we've launched. In fact, now that we have all of you guys to support, we're going to work even harder.

Yeah, so stay tuned. You'll be happy, I'm sure.

It's probably either

The second warzone
The shambala pvp area reworked as a pve area
Additional investigation quests in the zones
The competative pve - society wide, dimension wide args
Or the 10 man "puzzle raid"

As they have been working on these the last few months.

Yeah, it's probably just annoucing upcoming content and ideas. Hopefully,we get to know more about Exodus, and ShaKyMo is probably right about those ideas. Regardless, as long as they deliver the content quickly and it's good, that's all that matters.

Could the "unthinkable" happen and Funcom actually delivers on the promises ?

If nothing else, it looks like Ragnar & Co. are watching the forums closely...

Well they did manage to finally have a launch that wasn't a complete cluster fuck so I suppose anything is possible.

Would be nice...

I would love to see them go to japan, and have to look into Nobunaga Oda and such, maybe letting on that he actually had ties to some groups or beings out there that wanted to make Japan into their own paradice during the warring states period.

I have a feeling it will be new zones. They have been developing the next expansions for 4months now before launch so one can only hope. :)
