I am very strongly considering buying a lifetime Sub now. If you are looking for something different, not your typical fanatasy MMO, but something a bit darker that gets away from the norm. Then at least give this game a shot. You WILL be pleasantly suprised.

If your looking for the 2nd coming of the MMO god, or want to play a game like WoW or EQ2, then look elsewhere. For their target audience Funcom has made an excellent game.

I am 34 and i agree.

I am playing hte beta, and there are still bugs to be crunched out, but they do listen and they do solve often, the game is not one that will cater to everyone, is really something different, and i think many will bash it just cause they will not get it.

I can say most of the times to solve a quest you have to use your brains, i had to google  sometime when i was given hints to put togheter the answer to the puzzle. If you seek an all out action game might not be for you (Generic you, not aimed to anyone in specific)  If you like lovecraft like athmosphere and sometime to rack your brain on a puzzle i would really say get it.

What worries me about the 1st Beta weekend is that they seem intent on locking everyone to London and the New England playfield. Depending on how they instance or shard it, I'm not sure a town whose player population may outnumber zombies 10-to-1 (most of whom will be griefing whack-a-mole- types) will seem in terms of atmosphere.  Probably good as a stress test for Funcom, bad for encouraging the ppl who would most like the game once the initial swarm has passed.

without ruining anything.. it really doesn't matter which faction they gave you to pick even if you got all 3 it wouldn't make a huge difference in the big scheme of things for the weekend beta..  that can be a bad thing or good depending on how you look at it...

I played the beta and it sucked. This game is so good i can not stop thinking about it. Never gonna play again and cancelling my preorder. I cant wait till it comes out so i can start kicking some templar ass. I love this game. Funcom sucks and im gonna buy a lifetime subscription. This game is sweet. Very boring and graphics suck, cant wait. It is very cool so far

I was highly interested in this game till I sat down and actually tried to play it. All I can say is that it's horrible. First I couldn't get my name that is through the use of Name, Nick Name, and last name. There were no features that allowed me to change the look of my character other then few basic stuff.

However even though I didn't like creator creation I plunged in to the game. Let me just say the controls are bad I mean really bad. I had to go in and manually change the controls completely to fix there rediculas default controls.

I like the creep factor at the begining of the game but that was about it. I will say this the game needs a lot of work before its ready to be released. They should spend another 6 months polishing the controls and stuff. 

This game will be free to play with in 6 months. Its not worth the money in my opinion.

So you could not chose your name as you wished and you had to reconfigure the keybinds? Wow, the horror!

Im sorry, but I can find nothing good about this game EXCEPT the amazing skill system it has. The NDA is still up so I cannot speak from past experiences, but I can safely say that I will not be purchasing this game. I think it will capture a niche playerbase, but I have a feeling there will be overly negative review of this game when the NDA drops and after release.

Sadly i cant really think of any new themepark games that have proper open world PVP..

Only games that are any good and have open world pvp are the likes of Darkfall, mortal online, eve and others similar.. but a lot of people dont get on with those because of the open world pvp and full loot.. its why games like WOW, GW2, TSW and other all have battleground type pvp... yes its a shame but sadly its all the masses cant deal with..

oh i forgot Tera has openworld pvp and possibly rifts but as far as i know the pvp is meaninless so they dont really count..

Evolution8 thank you for proving my point in an earlier post.

So the game is an epic fail because of no open world PvP huh? lol

A game that was never designed with open world PvP in mind is epic fail because it doesnt have it. How about you go play one of the many games with open world PvP?- MO and DF come to mind off the bat.

But I guess its easier to bash a game that was never designed with open pvp gameplay than to go actually play and support one that does.

Thats almost like me bashing DF or MO because the PvE is below par.
