The Secret World is an MMORPG created by Funcom (Anarchy Online, Age of Conan: Unchained), with Senior Producer and Creative Director Ragnar Tørnquist (The Longest Journey, Dreamfall). It blends elements of mythological and modern day civilizations, along with a mix of dark fantasy and the supernatural, and has no character classes. In The Secret World, where urban legends, myths, and conspiracy theories are all true, the only question is: what do you do now?
The Secret World players have a new challenge ahead of them. Between now and September 21st, players need to complete seventy challenges to earn the awesome Doomboard, a "Hell-themed Hoverboard" that, through completion of the event, can be earned for free.
The Secret World has a brief blog post about one of the latest updates to the game. With one of the more recent patches, the Fusang Projects have been updated to grant two new missions, Facility Offense and Facility Defense.
The Secret World is turning four years old this summer and Funcom is ready to celebrate with its community. Guardians of Gaia have cropped up in all of the major zones and players can earn special tiered rewards based on their participation in bringing them down. In addition, there is a special portal that sends players to Deep Agartha where a new drop from the Guardian will summon "manifestations of their anger". When all ten have been gathered, the Gatekeeper will arrive for a 40-player raid.
The Secret World has been updated with Funcom's own twist on a housing system with the arrival of the Museum of the Occult. The Museum allows players to collect monster trophies from around the game's four regions to add to customizable displays. Once set up, players can even brings friends over to show off their accomplishments.
Funcom's The Secret World Community Manager Andy Benditt has posted the latest development update for The Secret World. In it, Benditt writes about forthcoming changes to elite abilities set to enter the game on Wednesday, May 25th.
Fans of The Secret World will want to check out the contents of the collector's edition of Issue 15: The Sleuth's Gallery. Issue 15 features more new missions than any prior update and includes all missions from the Sidestories series, a new Investigation that the developers feel is the most in-depth to date.

After maintenance today, The Secret World players will be able to saddle up and head out into the wild and wooly game environs thanks to the release of the Rough Rider outfit and the Swift Thoroughbred horse. Both will be available in the game's item shop.
It's time for The Secret World to wave goodbye to Tokyo. Due out today, Issue 14: Call of the Nameless brings us back to the scorched, shimmering sands of Egypt. Don't expect a Pharaoh's welcome this time around though, as Funcom's latest update has a distinctly Persian feel.
