For every fantastic day I had playing , there were two days of complete shock over how bad player lag, the UI, and the overall performance of the game. Example~ your ping to the server effects the reach of your melee weapons and if your swings/spells hit. So somebody with lower ping not only swings more per second, can do more movement and still hit you with the full array of weapons/spells aviable while you can struggle with just hitting them. There is no grind - if you enjoy your RPG and adventuring/hunting, you have a huge world, with mechanics that makes traveling what it should be IMHO. Most players dont hang around NPC cities, which might make the world look quiet, but make no mistake there is enough people out there that will have your scalp so watch your back. I have played UO, EvE and tried a good deal other (mainly PvP games) - DF is my favourite, a game I have been looking for since I quit UO 10 years ago.. PvP here does require much more than stats-skill, this is more a CounterStrike of MMORPGs. Full-loot pvp but mostly nice people, even tho this is very hardcore unforgiving world. Recommended!!! Ringside writes: This game is and old school mmorpg pvp game with a VERY VERY good gameplay. On the other hand there are several problems with this game. Everything takes time ( traveling,gearing up, crafting, leveling skills up) Lets say you want to go farm 1 type of monster but you have to travel 20 minutes just to get there... I read they are WIPING the whole server soon and they remaking the game and will be Called Darkfall 2.0 they say that the Darkfall has we knew it was only a way to get the money for the second one. Their Team is now twice as big. I was wondering why they were taking forever for a single update... they put all their money into Remaking the game. So we will all lose our character progression and start playing the game we all know but with different classes ... maps ... loot system ... gear. So basicaly should i wait for DarkFall 3.0 or give them my money? since their Graphics and gameplay were so awsome i might give them an other attempt once this realeases. Thu Jul 14 2011 7:51AM
