Community Liason Resfelm has started a new thread on the official Darkfall Online forums about two new 'sandbox' features to be implemented into the game later this summer: The Fun Hulk and Use Flags.

• Fun Hulks are a one-person 'vehicle' that is crafted. The crafting is simplified in that it doesn't require a foundry or an orb of might/dominion. These Fun Hulks can only damage other Fun Hulks but can be damaged by anything so it's probably not a good idea to take them out adventuring. However, Resfelm mentions that player-created events might be fun to run such as a 'last hulk standing' or races of some type.
• Use Flags are also created by players and are used in treasure hunts or 'search and destroy the flag' type events.

We’re always working on new sandbox features to add to the game. Still, in a sandbox game, the players are the driving force of many of the most fun, coolest, funniest, most epic and most interesting events. With that in mind, we’re increasing our efforts to help players organize, promote, and support their own event. Quite a few players have already organized their own fun events, and inspired by their efforts, we’re working on making more complex player-run events possible. More details on ways we’re going about doing that will become available in the near future.
