This is a patch: http://www.eveonline.com/updates/patchnotes.asp and I don't see the new content you speak of I do however see all the "small fixes" in a game that had none during beta... or it's 8 years of development... Darkfall is... I don't know how to call it really but that just isn't patching to me. As for the caster bots not working anymore... unlikely. All people need to do is edit them so instead of firing at the sky they fire at a guild mate from another race or something else.

And another "nice" thing about these types of patches with fixes like "You are NOW required to hit a valid target to gain skill in archery" simply means that the new players besides the fact that their new in the game and are at a disadvantage compared to the older players that have their skills leveled up will also take longer to catch up since you can't do the same thing they did(old player fires 9000 arrows in the sky while watching some movie, new players hunt monsters and tries to hit them 9000 times[Can anyone say DODGE?]).

Like I said before, this game is still in beta, only there won't be a character wipe at the end of it, which will be too bad for the new players.

Good god, you guys sound like whiny ex-girlfriends... Game in development for 8 years etc and QQs... Same old, useless, unimportant comments that have been repeated for as long as 8 years ago.

You guys need to take something into perspective.

Of all the people, that will "EVER" play Darkfall, how many of them are currently playing right now?

Now most of you will say... "Well DF sucks, there won't ever be anymore players than their actually is!!"

But still, I think that not even 1% of Darkfall's future player base is currently playing. So what about some guys got to cap up their rigor, weapon skills and OMG Mana Missile grind before everyone else?

It. Does. Not. Matter. In the long run, when there are many servers and thousand more players playing, everything will be the same for everyone, and people won't even notice that 1 guy out of a thousand was there at the start and maxed out his skills. Eventually, someone that plays long enough will get there as well, maybe not as fast as he could have at some point in the game, but then, it won't matter, like it doesn't matter now.

It's great playing the game because with every patch you actually see the results in game. Some would argue that the game is in a beta state still. I agree with that. When I threw my $50 at the game I knew I would be paying for a beta, and I knew there would be some serious issues.

Most of the more serious issues are now resolved. If you have been paying attention to the patch notes you will notice the patches used to be more about the game client stability and people crashing. These problems have been mostly resolved. Now Adventurine is focused on character balance and ironing out other issues, such as fixing the range of weapons for the different races, making people hit legitimate objects to level archery and magic, and adding new content such as new polearms.

If you are interested in Darkfall but do not want to pay for a game that feels 'beta like' I would not recommend the game to you yet. It still feels rough around the edges. It will probably be a few week or even a few months before things are smoothed out. I personally am having a blast playing the game.
