Aventurine Studios has announced that from today through Sunday, November 20th, players will enjoy a free Darkfall weekend regardless of subscription plan. Players will also enjoy a four times faster 'skilling' rate and increased loot drops.

Players purchase meditation points and then can choose the skill(s) to work on via an in-game panel or on the Darkfall External Web Interface Tool.

Part of the reason Flambouras gives for bringing offline skill leveling to Darkfall is to cut down on the tedious, repetitive tasks that new players encounter when entering the game. By enabling offline skill leveling, new players 'close the gap' faster.

In a new post on the Darkfall forums, Flambouras clarifies his statements a bit and gives a bit of a peek in to what lies ahead in terms of Darkfall, a new expansion and the possibility of Darkfall 2.
