I used to play on NA-1 a little while back. I played a Mahirim named Biglrip if anyone recognizes that name. I always liked this game but stopped playing because I thought AV were bad devs who you couldn't trust. Not only that but also the fact that a lot of the game was about grinding on your own clan mates on bloodwall or afk swimming. I was wondering a few things about the game if anyone who still plays can answer thatd be great

- Is there a sizeable population on NA-1? I mean is there a decent amount of both new and veteran players?

- Is magic still a PITA to level? (reagents)

- Do people still use the bloodwall as the fastest way to skill up?

- Is there still no auto-kick for afkers?

-Are there a healthy amount of alliances or just a few mega-guilds that run whole islands (it was kind of like this when I played, at least on the far SE island.)

-Do they have increased xp events often? I heard about these a while back and thought it was cool

Any answers would be great, I liked this game just felt like it was a beta and I don't pay for betas, especially ones that reward afkers and turtles.

I wonder the same things.  Im dying to play again but the chance that everything may be wiped keeps me from logging in.  Not to mention i was traveling when the 4x weekend happened, so now i would be even worse off than before.  If there was a decent pop still playing i might just give it a try but i suspect lots are waiting for DF2 to come back.

So i deside to fire up DF again as im bored as hell an miss the world.  In general its pretty quiet but there it seems like the core people have returned figuring DF2 might be years away and really there is nothing like it out there.  This might be a subjective view but there seems to be more people than the last time i was on.  Of course the world is enormous so its hard to tell.  Bottom line im having a good time and i guess thats what matters.

That's good to hear. I'm currently craving a sandbox MMO and gave MO a try and am not liking it too much. Darkfall is much more 'playable,' and so I am thinking of renewing my subscription.

Even if I only play for a month it will be worth the few bucks. I've just got to get into a decent guild as that is what keeps me playing. I was in one for a while a long time ago but it fell apart when someone stole everything we had and many people ragequit'd the game and I was left as a leader of three people.

With the right group of players that fit you, this game can be amazing. Without them, however, I can't stick around long enough.

I am waiting on word of 2.0 myself. Should not have quick the game so long ago. Still nothing out that is a good sandbox. A few look promising in the future but we know sandbox games for the most part have a bad rap for launches.

What guild are you with?  Are they the Chaos channel idiots or good peeps?  Im typically not a guild/Clan type but there is a need in this game. 

could always do what alot of people are doing, go play Mortal Online or the Tera Beta until darkfall 2.0 is out depending on what oyu want.

im playing Rift atm.... but i would leave any game for a populated, alive Darkfall . If only there wasnt those rumors about wiping.....

I am/was Darkfall vet but stoped playing  due to all time low population. The main reason of this is ofc AVs' handling which is anything but professional. We know now they abandoned DF in it's current state (no real support, no updates, patching etc..) and are suposedly working on new Darkfall (DF2.0). Wipe or not doesn't realy concern me but I'm not gonna pay and play an abandoned game + no idea when and IF at all new version will come.

So, like many others. I moved to Mortal Online and actualy quite liking it.

Sadly the game is pretty much dead. Quite literally everyone I know who still played cancelled after they announced the trammelization.

At least with the new investors they are actually fucking talking to us, sadly it's only to tell us we're wrong and that pop wasn't low because there was no patch or communication for 1 1/2 years, no balancing done, no bots banned, no exploiters punished, no grind reduction or engine tweaking..no no, but because people wanted to get back to PVP quicker. Fucking dolts in charge there!
