Probably your IP address? Not sure. I think you start another trial using the same account maybe? |

When you installed the trial it leaves tell tale signs in your window/system files, and also as already mentioned your ip |

I know it's at least partially tied to your MAC Address. I'm on the same boat where I wanted to trial the game following the Skyrim craze (dunno what it is about seeing thta game that makes me want to try Darkfall).
I understand why they limit it, so people don't make gathering alts or gold spammers etc, but at the same time they are only hurting themselves with it. A game like this you have to try a few times before you really get into it. Hell, I trialed EVE 5 times before subbing, and I've been subbed for over a year now.
I heard if you post on the darkfall public forums, a mod might reset your trial counter, but that seems like a long shot considering they don't even really read those forums - All in all, it's probably not worth it when you realize a week in that your regular playing just isn't skilling you up fast enough, and you start looking for macro options. |

The only one who hacks ip's just to make more trials are the scammers. They will create a character with one of our middle men's name in game like umberto, dest locke, kimoshu, the most trusted players in game. We use gentlemen to do complexe trades like traiding houses or duels with a massive amount of gold on the line. Thats one of the ways scammers can become rich and thats what we try to avoid. And you know the story about gold sellers already. Played DF trial for 2 weeks none stop. Check out my pvp video during trial.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJnU_JEqKRM |

It's a shame really, they are missing out on so many people willing to give Darkfall a chance again because of Skyrim, winter break, and the potential sand boxers feeling left out of the ToR release.
Just all-around bad business. If they were smart, they would have reset it after the 4x skill weekend. |

no, they already allowed up to 2 trials in the past, even if they restricted it now to 1, thats enough for anyone trying out the game, more will just be abused, and like i already said, it's not about just the ip, or mac, it's the guid which may screw up your win installation.... so i wont tell anyone how to bypass that.. |

Like I said, I tried EVE 5 times before I subbed, and I've been subbed for over a year now, and will remain subbed for the foreseeable future. People usually hate sushi the first few times around. Honestly don't understand why you're defending a retarded limitation. |

Originally posted by helthros When I first got Skyrim I played it for 8 hours straight and then started to really get sick of having to go into a menu during combat all the time . ... Darkfall's gameplay and controls are so much better because of that. I don't get why they would release a game that cool without being able to switch which buttons are your favorite spells without giving more than only 8 buttons when there are dozens of spells, items, potions, etc. that are worth binding . .. grrrr pisses me off. That experience really made me appreciate Darkfall's combat and not even having to go into a stupid menu during every fight. I had the same problem with the other Elder Scroll games too. I mean really . .. is it so hard to allow me to change the 1 key to another key? I have to write a macro for every key that I want to customize.
Also, since I change my controls in Skyrim (I customize them in every game I play) its bugged and wont let me unlock a shout . .. AAAHHHH it says to press F or something but I assigned F to something else so I would have to put it back to default and set up everything again (for the 3rd time) but I haven't logged back on since. I've pressed every damn key several times but changing the F key to something else is a pain in the arss. NEWS FLASH! A bank was robbed the other day and a man opened fire on the customers being held hostage. One customer zig-zag sprinted until he found cover. When questioned later he explained that he was a hardcore Darkfall Online player and knew just what to do. |

It's been awhile, but even after install darkfall leaves registry keys. I have darkfall uninstalled recently and quickly found one here just now.....
Start -> regedit -> Hkey_Current_User -> Software -> Aventurine
Thats one location, and you might have to rummage around more in your registry to find another Software folder with an Aventurine folder inside it.
Might want to also shut down your modem/network/computers for a good few minutes. Restart it, modem first, and it may refresh your IP address with a fresh new one. (Looking for a SWTOR Friend Trial Key for NA.) |

Originally posted by MiteFiend well, thats just crappy coding of the uninstaller... the trial check is server side as i wrote and it's not the IP or just the MAC address... hint, use a different pc, or setup your fresh ;) |
