I am thinking about playing darkfall (for the first time) and I was thinking..it sounds really similar to minecraft. In a minecraft PvP server you can have no safe zones, full loot PvP, leveling up (with the right mods), not be at such a heavy disadvantage when starting out, with a texture pack the graphics can be (in my opinion) better, and even have your own base! This sounds to me just like darkfall online, but better. Is there anything I am missing about Darkfall? Is there anything that makes it better than a minecraft PvP server?

So tell me..is it really worth the 15$ a month (for a noob..this means I will have to play for months to compete with the big boys) to play Darkfall..or should I just roll into a minecraft pvp server and have just as much fun (and if not, more?)

I'm new to playing DF (followed it for many years) but I've played alot of MC pvp and they are vastly different. MC pvp so barebones compared to DF it's not even in the same catagory.

As too if it's worth it or not try the 14 day trial and see for yourself. I just started days ago and am having a blast. Make sure to get in a guild or find some high level friends though because you'll want someone to show you the ropes and offer some sort of protection.

everything darkfall has going for it is in its pvp, everything minecraft has going for it isnt in its pvp. They are completely different, skyrim is clsoer to minecraft than darkfall is and they are nothing alike.

Hm. I guess you could try imagining Minecraft PvP.....but without all the building. That's where DF is at right now.

But that's just me. Don't they have a free trial? If so, go for it!
