Darkfall isn't in a healthy condition anymore. A  wipe is very likely planned, a expansion which  should have been delivered early Q2, hasn't still  been delivered yet and now we read  the second time on the block that they can't tell us more news about DF 2.0 because of talks with investors. That is the reason for AV to postpone information avbout DF 2.0 since 2 months  straight now.

That creates an impression of DF 2.0 is not founded yet and won't be here if investors aren't secured wich seems to not be an easy task.  Bankrupcy is very possible IMO.

If Starvault isnt bankrupt then Adventurine isnt bankrupt.

Especially since the Greek government is bankrupt. I don't know if everyone was aware of it or not but the only reason Adventurine was based in Greece is because the Greek government paid a rather sizable annual subsidy for them to be based in Greece and it gave Greece an actual export besides 12 yr old winos.

 i dont see how starvault not being bankrupt means aventurine wont go bankrupt. DF has 2 servers to maintain, way more staff and higher paid staff working out of a country in financial meltdown.

I beleive MO can run on a vapour of a budget but darkfall really cant, i dont know of anyone recently who has left mo to go back to darkfall but plenty who have left darkfall to go back to or give mo a try. Im not arguing which is the better game im just saying MO's condition has no importance as to if Darkfall might be on the verge of closure or not. both df and mo outlived quite a few mmos already including APB until its relaunch as a f2p game under a new developer

I have heard rumors od DF shutting down but i dont beleive it tbh and i hope it isnt true. I want the chance to give DF 2.0 a try like everyone else and beleive it to be scare mongering. Of course darkfall 1.0 will indeed need to shutdown when darkfall2.0 launches since they really cant afford to run anymore servers.

Seriously where do you guys come up with this crap. I agree greece is in dismay. However, AV has been working with the chinese for a while so I highly doubt they are short on cash, plus they recently said they just hired a new DEV. I don't think you hire new ppl when your broke. I dunno where all these nay sayers come from. Seems DF breeds alot of hate from alot of ppl. Bottom line is this DF 1 is still going atm and is hands down the best game on the market for a fantasy PVP MMO (which isnt for everyone) until there is a better game on the market im sure DF will be alive. We have played the game for years and read their forums regularly since release.

IMO any game that only has one server type, and that server allows newbs to be ganked, is never going to do well. You cant allow folks to drive subs off. Unless there is an alternate server, you are asking to go out of business eventually.

AV does not only make money from Darfall you know.. .they do a ton of stuff for the greek military and other things..

Plus this new asian server gonna bring them in tons of extra cash..

It very quiet on the Darkfall servers at the moment mainly because of 2 new games... BF3 and Skyrim people will be back..

So no i dont believe they are gonig to go bankrupt any time soon..

If all is healthy then why they depend on asia investors to tell us whats there plan on DF 2.0 it seems to me that without the investors DF2.0 isn't possible for them (hence their inability to tell us even a ETA).
