If you are still subbed, in spite of wipe rumours, what are your reasons?

Any guess on a timeframe?

there will be a partial wipe:

characters will stay, gold will probably be wiped, skills wipe for sure as there will be a new skill system, houses reverted to deeds as the map will change

They wouldn't mention the term 'wipe' if there was just some skills become obsolete or get an other functionality.   This issue has been handled very amatuerish by AV.  

In fact why even mention 'wipe' if you won't wipe ?  All in all this whole wipe matter sounds very shady. (remember last October's promise "and i repeat to make sure, there will be absolutely no wipe".   

I have nothing to support this, but there will be a full wipe. It will be as if they shut one game down and started a new one.

Subs are plummeting even with the siege and pvp fixes.

If there wasn't going to be a wipe they would be completely insane not to confirm this.

Until the pvp is completely reworked as stated in 2.0 this game is fail and broken.

The dev excuses week after week are hilarious and sad.

Draw your own conclusions.

I wouldnt be happy if someone wiped my toon I spent alot of time working on. If I played this game and it happened I wouldnt resub.

I think its more likely that a new asian server would be opened up than a wipe so that everyone gets what they want. Someone mentioned that the map will be changing so it makes sense having a housing wipe.

This game is fun now on a newer toon even if there is going to be a full wipe next month when its compared to other games imo.

I personally would like to see a full-wipe so that I can be ahead of most people . .. it would be hard to go through the crafting grind again though.

 I still wish there was a PvE darkfall server..  I would be playing everyday until TOR launches..  

Ive always liked the idea of darkfall, its even fun in the beginning.. I just wish they would make a PvE server.. im not the biggest fan of pvp in the first place, and pvp in DF is.. even less attractive :(

If the PvE in DFO is less attractive to you than the PvP and you dont like PvP then why would you play it every day till TOR? 

Personally, I think that DFO would be a tad dull without its pvp ruleset.

Oh okay, Gotcha.  Yeah, the PvP in darkfall is a good idea but needs to be reworked to make the game more fun.  But on the other hand I dont think darkfall would be good without any pvp so I think they have their work cut out.

How could a game company justify any type of partial wipe? You are a paying customer who worked hard to get where you are, and the devs decide to do a partial wipe? That should be illegal.. It's like you buying a house and a year later the government shows up on your door and states, well, sorry but half of your house needs to go because we say so... LOL, it's ridiculous..

Honestly, I think the brilliant devs of darkfall should just create new servers instead of doing any types of wiping..

99% of people got what they have on darkfall skills/gold/bank from macroing and exploiting mob ai. It needs to be wiped like a dirty ass.

Actually governments do this, but they take the whole house and property under "compulsory purchase," "eminent domain," "expropriation," etc. It's legal in the US, UK, Canada, etc.

On topic: I've rolled a new dwarf. I'm just playing because it's funner to me than any other games right now. I don't care if there's a wipe ( I do actually, but...) and I don't look into the future. I think it's crap the way that AV doesn't tell their subscribers what's going on, but this game, with all its flaws, is still more interesting than anything else out now.

Its actually more of a PVE game than a PVP game in many ways already.

In fact, you can PVP non-stop in many other games but in Darkfall you cannot because you need a steady income to replace what is used, what breaks, and what is lost.

The population is low enough right now that you can farm safely almost anywhere. There are several fun farming spots where PVP is almost guaranteed not to happen. I haven't been jumped for about 3-5 months but keep in mind that I do not play everyday. If you get into a good clan than they probably have a dungeon and several spawns where you can safely PVE without problems as long as you pay attention to clan chat and have a phantom in their 'red alert' vent channel. Some even go as far as setting up bots so that everyone knows right away when an enemy enters the area. Also, it makes the PVE more thrilling when you know that at any moment you could be jumped and have to fight or run to keep your gears.

I resubbed about 4 days ago and rolled a new toon.  I haven't see a single red yet. So it's pretty safe pve to build up your character, at least where I am. I heard there's lot's of ganking of noobs down in human lands (as usual). So, Sid is right on the mark.

Wait you what a darkfall PVE server ?

Darkfall is a full loot PVP game thats what its all about, sure the PVE can be a lot of fun... but without the possibility of getting jumped darkfall would loose nearly all of what is good about it.. if you like to do only PVE stuff then Darkfall is not for you...

As for the wipe..

There will be a partial wipe thats for sure, holdings will be wiped, possibly players banks, alignment, skills might be reset and we get either meditation ponits or some other way to re-distribute skill points... I dont believe there will be a complete wipe.

As for current server population seems pretty stable on the EU server lots of pvp going on in the player cities in the villeges and trade routes..

Currently getting mroe pvp action than i have done for ages..
