So for some reason, right after loging in and hitting the play button, i couldn't get in game after the black screen. So i thought someone was trying to hack my account. I contacted support, they ask me to fill up these info's. While they were at it, they banned my account before something wrong could happen Server - This part is not a problem. I even thought it would be enough to set everything back to normal. What they ask me next: to be patient. I had to wait a whole day, a saturday morning. They respond back at 9am with this over the top type of thing. Hello Is it going a lil too far or most mmo's are like that? Cuz im sure there are other info's i can share instead. Its not like every hackers are stalkers either. I just dont think they had to go that far only for security check. A valid photo id is what bothers me the most. Played DF trial for 2 weeks none stop. im guessing when they banned the account you and some other dude hacking your account complained oyu both couldnt get into the account, so now you both need to provide information on identity so they can fathom who actually owns it. I think its prefectly reasonable and im actually glad they would take it this far to make sure its the right person who gets access to it. By chance you didnt buy the acconut from someone else or sell it in the past did you?
never played the game myself but its seems rather reasonable, but only if both you and this hacker have access to your email account. there are 2 types of mmo, imitators and innovaters. |

Originally posted by deathshroud 1st of all, i told them to ban me for a while so i knew they would do it. I brought some basic info's like the CC and other basic stuff. This time, they simply decide to ask for my ID with real life picture. Im just saying, this is going too far cuz i never heard of a game functioning that way. Even facebook are not suppose to ask for these personal tools. And no, the hacker(If there is really one) did not post a ticket to support. If he did, i would had seen his post. And no, i never brought an accout or sell, i woulnt be here if i did.
And today, i checked my local bank to ask them what i should do. They told me not to send my ID and photo's. Played DF trial for 2 weeks none stop. Check out my pvp video during trial.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJnU_JEqKRM |

It's not you, but they are not the worst. That'd be Funcom. But from what I have seen, they are really bad.
