in before the crybabies.

No need for that; what just happened here is amazing.  AV released one of their best progress reports ever, and they also released a minor path that included hugely requested game tweaks, and they did both of these things at the same time!

We're all amazed.

We’re making changes in starting areas to protect new players during their first steps in the game. More and more powerful guard towers have been added. This will create a safer place for new players since the towers will react to any PvP even if it’s between players of enemy clans.  As usual, red players won’t be welcome in starting areas. We’re not looking to create safe zones but we think that a tiny fraction of the game should have safer zones than what we offer now, and that new players should be able to enjoy some protection against disruptive behaviors while they learn the game basics. In contrast, the vast majority of Agon, outside starting areas, is now lawless.

Trammel 2.0. I hope they are not for real on that.

Played DF trial for 2 weeks none stop. Check out my pvp video during trial.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJnU_JEqKRM

Why's that? Can't handle fighting something besides a player who has no skills trained up, crappy stats, the weakest armor & weapons available, and in many cases are just adjusting to the gameplay mechanics compared to other MMOs they have come from?

Its a very small portion of the game that they are making safe for new players, youre still free to go ahead and fight anywhere else against people who might actually stand a chance against you. I guess thats a problem for some.

Trammel 2.0?

They added some extra protection for noobs, and basically removed towers from everywhere else in Agon. Trying to compare this to Trammel is absolutely ridiculous.

hmmm. Did they fix the god awful bunnyhopping nonsense? I will resub right now if they did. NPC cities were safe enough the way they were. Any changes to the UI? Nevemind, I'll read the patch notes me self.

I miss playing DF...it was as close to the same experience I get in EvE, yet with it's keystone cop type PvP it looked/felt ridiculous once you started fighting an alfar bunnyhopping, whirlwind swinging a polearm twice the size of their body.

Lemme go read....

Playing: BF3, Prototype and Skyrim
Hiatus: EvE
Waiting on: World of Darkness(sigh)

Bunnyhopping is part of the game, I suggest you improve your aim. It really isn't difficult.
