I played this games CB and it was an awesome game, i stopped playing because it went P2P -.-. I had lots of fun in this game and i might actually pay for it when 2.0 arrives or w/e the heck it was.

Also OP you can at least say why you think it should be revamped.

Personally, I think DFO is a great game. If they got rid of magic completely, and half the grind, it would be the perfect game!

I've played the game since the day of release and hte OP has a point.

If you dont have thicker skin to stick with it most people just leave.

Not the players fault but the DEVS fault. AV are pretty fail comapny tbh.

not saying DFO is a great game or anything.. it really isnt.. but its hard to take someone seriously if they say they only played for like.. 10 minutes..  1 week would i think be an absolute minimum to give any kind of informed critique ...  10 mins and your done? is any game going to survive that kind of limited interest ?

I think you read too much into my post.

Just wanted to point out that opinions can be stupid, the forumfall way.

10 minutes means that you went into it either having done no research or with the intent of finding it bad.  With a little bit of research you would have seen the graphics and GUI so that can't have turned you off in 10 min and its not possible to be disgusted with game mechanics in just 10 minutes.

My 1st mmorpg was wow and it took me 3 days before i left. Not because of how the game plays, but because of the risk involve. The moment i seemed to have so much gear on me and lost them all, is the moment i didnt feel like relogging. Also, the grind was so horrible, no one in the right mind would had stick to DF for too long.

Today the grind is not bad anyway since you mostly need melee archery to contribute in a fight and its easy to raise. There is always the destroyer option if you dont like to grind. Thats what i am since i rerolled and im doing good.

I agree with the majority. Anyone that plays DF for 10 minutes and quits did not give it a try.

I don't think there's any way he did any crafting, joined a guild and built a city, rode on a boat or had a battle on water, got chased by the red dragon or bought a horse.

The game's not easy to play, the controls are harder to learn than press F1 thru F8 and tab target. Not taking the time to learn the controls is the same as saying you're happy with simplicity.

There's a crap load of problems with the game, but none that you know in 10 minutes.
