I really enjoyed it. I just didn't have the time to grind all the skills necessary, though I did enjoy being able to make my own weapons and armor and stockpile bags of equipment in preparation for the inevitable gank. They do need to work on alignment issues, though. But who knows, I might give DF 2.0 a shot.

I would wait until 2.0 comes out. There are too many unknowns on how they are going to handle the relaunch. It would be a shame to grind your character just to have to start over. Not necessarily because they wipe the servers, but they may change the skill sets It's only a model

Not necessarily because they wipe the servers, but they may change the skill sets basically this, the current grind is seriously hardcore, it would be soul destroying to grind up a character to a reasonable level only to find out in darkfall2.0 that you could of done it in a fraction of the time. Or to discover your build which you traiend up is gimped or not what you would have liked. Wait for 2.0 imo. Chances are 2.0 will bring many new players so you wont be as alone leveling up your skills. there are 2 types of mmo, imitators and innovaters.

I don't think it will matter much since the spec will be in the equipement you will wear, something like equiping a leather armor will boost your archery and knife skills. So basically if you already maxed those skills you will just have full access to that specialisation. Thats how i understood it, but i might be totally off, i already have been totally off for few things about this game.
