Whats with the crazy amount of hits Darkfall is gettng on the main page the last few days?

i was wondering the same thing...it has about 65k hits today as i type this while second mmo game is WoW with 9k.....how come??

Bots most likely just repeatedly clicking on the game to get unique hits. I can't see how it would legitimately be getting these huge numbers with the second on the list only getting 10k - 15k hits.

OMFG!!! Darkfall is 1st on the list! I did not notice that.

This must be the server move. I think players are resubbing because of that. I had over 120-180 pings and the game was barely playable. I could not even use archery or rays that well. Now that i got less then 50 ping, i can kill anything and i do not get kill because of lag spike when we go against an other group. The game had never been that fun.

The server location move had the same lovely effect on my ping as well. Although, before the switch I was getting 80-120 ms, and so I did not experience the archery/ray issues to the degree that you apparently did. I have also noticed an increase in population in the areas of Agon I frequent. It's been awhile since I've had so much difficulty in farming any of my choice mob spawns in peace :)

Population in DFO is more then healthy currently. Just about every night for the past two weeks I've been pvping. There are plenty of players around for sure...and the areas I hang out on (Yssam/Niff) are remote islands.  I havent had time to craft or pve since probly the beginning of April because every night our alliance is getting into trouble somewhere.

This is just a taste of things to come once DFO Arena is released. Its going to take a tough breed of gamer to handle DFO here soon. Things are about to get ugly..

I am having to change my carrier to increase my ping . .. but earlier this week someone killed me and some others at the same dungeon and I was kind of drunk and well convinced that I could take him easily so I just grabbed another PVE bag and went back out only to die again.

The population has increased to a point where I have decided no more PVE bags. I will have my PVP bags and I will have my lesser PVP bags for PVE. LOL

Seriously though I think it has come to that. Instead of farming money for meditation last night I was busy enchanting my best weapons for my next PVE run . ... hells yeah! It seems like the player lag is fixed now too. I love this feeling of danger and having to be sneaky and cunning once again.

All your excitement has convinced me to get Darkfall, I played my brothers account a bit before and enjoyed it, but the population was low at the time. Whats this server move you talked about? AND any suggestions on where to start and what race for a new player? Im a nice guy so I like a 'good' in game race/community/chat, not evil.

I dont believe this. They plan to fix it tho. To me, its now harder to notice, but im sure it is still there since anytime someone recall in my city, i get a player lag. I live in orc land and i never get killed while pveing so i cannot really tell if player lag happen in the open field.

That is because no one plays in Orc land - most pop is and always will be in the human lands.

Who wants to be a smell orc anyway ? ;)

Yeah maybe its because I am playing with 200 ping now and have my graphics turned up .. .. I am no longer getting player lag though so maybe it is something machine side as well as server side that causes it. The main change is that I have a new computer and its nice. I even keep the shadows on. Its so cool looking.
