DarkFall Arena, previously known as DarkFall2010,  has no official release date as of now. It was scheduled for Summer 2010, but delayed to an unknown date in 2011, if it does release in 2011.

As for the content of the Expac, there is no official list, they've been mentionned gradually through blog posts and forum announcement, although not much details have been released since 2010. It's very likely that DX11 will be delayed further, as for the World re-design, it should be in DarkFall Arena or at least an upcoming "large" patch set around summer I believe. But nothing official.

There is nothing new in the "expansion" which should be called a patch that will bring back players.

New sounds and graphics? Er no this is not what people were complaining about and leaving the game for. It was the shallow game play. No depth, no sand, just clans full of leet teenage boys fighting other clans full of leet teenage boys....sad really.

When DF was in development they would talk about the lore behind the world and the racial wars etc. They released a game where your race had nothing to do with anything and had these all race clans forming. No lore, no history, nada.

In DF you CAN NOT:

Make and build a house - you find them in "villages" with some weird ass transfer and taxes system
Make and build a clan city - you have to take over pre-built ones.
Do your own thing - there is nothing do apart from kill NPC and other players
Set up a market stall
Farm
Enter into competitions

In short it is not a sandbox, it is a fighting game with no depth and no lore and nothing to keep people playing UNLESS you like the whole epeen thing.

You are right in some sense of it could be more of sand BUT

You can customize houses by adding house add-ons to them (you right tho just looted ones)

You have to build your city with all what it entails - having the raw mats and components and crafting them. Just the spot and what is available isn't on you.

The most activities in MMORPG's are PVP, PVE, explore, craft, gather, quest. Everything of that is possible in DF -even quests- and also when you feel like doing them.  

You can add a vendor on your house.

Iam not sure what you mean by "Farm"...within house add-ons you can attach different type of gardens to your house and you can harvest them for herbs.  if its something like watching weeds grow you can't but just a small percent of MMORPG offer Farmer simulation.

competition ?  Every breath you take is a competition in DF..

In short not much is missing and it is more of a sandbox then many 'sandboxes' out there.

You should learn that in any case stating opinions as fact and wrong ones at that to just "make fun" and stir the pot should in every case get the post at least deleted. You have been mostly a critic here and even i mostly disagree with you i have valued your opinion  but defending this practice "of making fun" by throwing in one liners to stir up valid discussion is just sad.

It can't be such a obvious attempt doesn't get the moderation it deserves.  The highlighted part fullfills the definition of deliberately saying the untruth which means lie.  

Fact is expansion has been renamed to DFArena >.< i even offered source and proof for that.

This forum should keep an informative purpose is what i thought and not various poster "making fun" of their opinions.

Seriously, people can't even tell the difference about trolling and someone stating an opinion and/or facts anymore.
