The game is getting really fleshed out and has alot of the features they promised. However it feels that even with all these things you can do in the game there is a certain thing missing to make the person feel fully immersed.

Now you guys probably ask. Why fluff? Isn't fluff superflous and unecessary? The answer is yes it is, however in large quanities this unecessary content adds a feeling that you can do more in the game than simply kill and craft. Giving people toys is never a bad idea... Especially in a sandbox!

During the downtime it is always nice to be able to relax playing some mini-games and/or keeping yourself busy decorating something, especially when with others. It helps build a community among peers and can even lead to player-made events!

If you ask me that is the only major difference about Ultima Online and Darkfall. UO isn't purely about killing and crafting, you can do so much in the game that you could even make a character progress without even fighting once! Darkfall is definetly progresing nicely but if it really wants to reach the point that UO was at it will need that extra "UMPH" content-wise to really pull people in to the game world!

Carefully reading and watching videos, I decided to take the plunge yesterday and bought their 6 months offer. I am looking forward to the world of Agon, but I agree that "fluff" is a necessary evil. Fluff is usually what differentiates a WORLD from a GAME. It's the one thing that makes you log in "just for fun", when you don't feel like logging for combat or crafting. Fluff is good :)

I'm gonna get in before there's a bunch of "Eff you, Carebear!" replies.  It'd be nice to get some "fluff" stuff, minigames and such.  I'm tired as balls right now, so no ideas forthcoming here, but yeah, I'll give it a yea.  So, Yea.
