I have to say Aventurine just sold it to me. I am definitely going back to DF, they actually listen to our suggestions: first PvE fix, making grind more bearable and now double tap dodge. forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php Now we need a bit more player driven content like expanded village system ( with claimable mines, farms, wood yards etc. in the wilderness ) and more dynamic economy ( player run caravans between cities, local banking ) and DF will be the place to stay. I have to humbly admit I was one of the main characters behind those campaigns to improve Darkfall game play experience ;)

Double tap is nice. Double jump is horrible. It's nice to see that Melee is being looked upon. But it still looks a very timid advance. |

Expansion is looking pretty awesome, If they get it right!!!!!!!!, this game will go from a 6.0 to a 9.0.
It would be a 10.0 if they could do something about the virtual address spaces and some minor bugs.

This is going to be one hell of a great expansion. Looks like I may actually get to use some 4 legged Mahirim running. Hell ya! That Spotter skill sounds a little off though. Cover is such an important part of the game for me. Only thing I didn't like in there at all. Keep it going AV good work. "My fighting style is kneeing people's face" -Wanderlei Silva |

I also just resubbed. The future looks bright indeed for Darkfall. |

And thanks (also to Darth) for clearing up the Spotter skill a bit more for me. It wasn't very clear to me on how this could be implemented. About the 4LR, this expansion will just be the first step? AV maybe will keep on fixing later until we have it. |

A few concerns are, race changes might need to be implemented. Since I hate magic, and I am alfar, when Expansion hits I am going to be mainly archer/melee.
So if they make bow more damaging when you play elf, I will be upset if not race changes come.
And No dont say Re-roll, I do not feel like leveling up tons of skills to 100 that would take 5 months of straight grinding(18 hours a day) So if they just make keen sight, a ability to Identify targets from a distant then it will be fine, and give mahirim the ability to just not lose stam as fast while sprinting, and orc better hp max/regen and, and human better food skill? and dwarf better either hp max or regen, depending which one the orc gets.
If it goes like that then Me as an alfar playing as a archer will not be effect much. BUT if they make it mean real big like more damage, and it will determine the outcome of the fight, then ya they better do a charge or free race change available for a few months after expansion.

Or lean and adapt to the new rules : ) The changes wont be major, just small racial differences....wich there should be in any fantasy world! And what kind of person would choose a Alfar if they wanted to be big and strong, or a Orc if they wanted to be wise and have wits? We did see this comming a while back. |

They never said racial abilities were in at launch, Hence why I chose alfar, because they had a smaller hitbox. Also they need to SPECIFY the exact racial abilties to a race prior to people picking it, they failed to do that, so they should compensate, if they do not then they will be consider a more growing trash company. |

If they make bows do more damage with being an elf, then I am getting my money back for the 6 month sub I just put on, because as far as I can consider it was fraud :).
I think it will be a smart Idea as a professional company to charge for Race Changes. As a lot of major gaming companies due that when they make changes that were not in when that person picked a race. It is called being Professional.
AV can not say well you chose alfar because you knew that we were going to add racial abilities in the game, SHOW ME ONE PEICE OF INFORMATION THAT SAID THEY WILL ADD RACIAL ABILITIES IN THE GAME AROUND MARCH.
Now they might of said they were in, ok so they are not. So I chose my race are the mindset that they will never be in because they never told us they were adding, we though when the game launch it was complete. Now I could of got my money back a long time ago, but did not. But if they do not do the right thing and let us race change, they will not only lose my sub, but I will fight for my money back that I spent on Darkfall, by saying it is fraud. |

My time in EVE has certainly taught me that when it comes to game changes, always keep it in the back of your mind you might end up a bit screwed. It's simply the nature of the beast when it comes to nerfs/buffs and additions to the game. When I started out in DF about a month and a half ago, I started focusing on my Melee/Archery skills. One because I can't stand magic, and two because of magic being so much more overpowered. Everyone was using it, and I've seen the same thing in EVE many times. Obviously magic would need to be adjusted. I'm not saying good luck and use your psychic abilities well. But expect this to happen again a few times over the years if the game is alive and you're still playing. "My fighting style is kneeing people's face" -Wanderlei Silva |

IMO if they do not add race changes even payment ones, then it is a marketing scheme/or failed devs(non professional) by not having these things at launch and then adding them, and then not giving us the ability to change race when they will change the gameplay for us drastically. |

That's the first set of racial skills and overall steps to support various play styles and put more variety in the game without hindering your freedom of choice. Another thing is that they haven't revealed all skills coming up with the expansion so to all concerned hold your horses.
