they did a decrease on the price of the client / 6 month subscription with the transfers and with the patch coming up this is the right time to do it! :)

for those who quit long ago :

- chaos chests are a nice thing for when u go exploring

- community actually improved alot and is very newbie friendly (we all want a darkfall world full of people hehe)

- for new players both NA1 and EU1 have the clans named "NEW" if its ure first time in darkfall give a pm to their sg or any other high ranking member

- monsters hp got fixed pritty well i've bin playing 4 months now and must say that every mobs hp is pritty good balanced , still a few mobs could use improving (like devils should drop more >.>) but for the rest its very good :P , (ofcourse darkfalls ai system is a bit complicated and all and some mobs are still buggable but i can proudly say i've earned over 100K fairly just by kiting mobs with archery)

- the grind has bin reduced MAJORLY ! :)

- the siege system is gonna get a revamp soon

- magic will get a nerfing and archery/melee a boost

- and last but not least they will also focus on naval combat and the likes in the expansion! ;)

- they have started the "dynamic lore system" long storry short here , what u lads do changes how the lore will end up (very intresting since we have 2 worlds and since both worlds will respond differently the worlds will end up differently in the end >:O! )

ofcourse darkfall aint the perfect game

but if u like pvp 

like exploring a world so big u'll never have seen it all

like having the sandbox efect

give darkfall a try (again for some =p)

- dont be scared by loosing gear , after playing for 2 weeks i had 20 spare sets of bone in my bank already haha

last but not least (imo) is the adrenaline factor , no other game out there can make ure blood pump so fast when u "nearly die" or just killed a dude with some good gear , try it out u wont be disapointed

dont try it out for an hour , a day , give it a week , join a guild , try joining another guild if u dont like that guild notice how U can help change DARKFALL >:)

Yep, its a good time to try something completely different from a ordinary WoW clone : )

sorry but 87 dollars is too much to "try something"

not only that you dont buy a 6 month subscription of something that you want to try out

Go look back at the post of many members here, how many of them revoke their darkfall sub without much trouble.  Do you think that happens to be a coincidence?  Taking an indirect inference, with so many members here or on DF boards complaining about double charges and triple charges, and all bringing the issues to their banks, will banks be stupid enough not to notice.

Haha, he was just another troll, so I reported him too. I have no clue why some would make these claims though. We have had this game running for nine months, and AV is clean as a baby.  The game is working fine, the billing is fine and AV holds what they promise regarding US transfers.

And yes, if you are bored of the normal mmo, you should try Darkfall. It's different, and you'll have a hard time going back to the normal wow clone.

AV is not in desperate need of cash or they WOULD have charged for the expansions.

AV is not in desperate need of cash or they WOULD have charged for the expansions.

Want to charge =/= will be able to charge.
 

What has Darkfall as an asset that can charge?  Seriously?  They already charged people for server transfer, which technically, is just opening another server.  No game on earth charge people when a new server is available, and when all evidence indicates that the second server is actually run by AV itself.  Is that not desperate enough?

As for reporting me, big deal.  Will I lose my job?  Or take a dent in my payscale?  You guys have nothing better to present and resort to shutting down different views so as to maintain a monopoly in presentation.  Nice try.

Fact is, this game is hanging on life support, with no player base and a huge debt to service.  Try to refute that.  Anything else are just cosmetics, as survival of business is very simple stone cold reality.  If you can't pay your bills, goodbye.

You actually proved I am right.  Blizzard charged you if you want to transfer a character from server A to server B.  But its free for you to create multiple characters on multiple servers within the same zone (US/Euro/Taiwan/ and so on).

Darkfall charges you if you want to create a new character on the second server.  The second server AV pretended to be owned by another corporation, but billing addresses and everything points to the fact that AV or Tasos are the recipient of the money.

And the Darkfall drama continues, was getting bored with the other posts.

With all the heated debate this game aggravates. I would think they would have released a free trial of some form by now, at least buddy keys. You know to prove the bad press and word of mouth that is out there wrong. With how it stands (no trial) you can not help but believe the stuff you read.

Business do not run on the principles of disproving bad press and word of mouth.

Business works on the line of business -- profits.  AV might not think it is profitable to launch a trial.  If that is what they perceive, no trials will be coming.

Maybe you can transfer your wow char from EU to US after 5 years, but DF did that in 9 month for free. Who knows, maybe you can make a char on the DF US1 in 5 years.
