Looks like they are grasping at straws, in a last ditch effort to secure more long term subs.

Being that population is on the rise, this couldn't quite be considered a last ditch effort. Darkfall is the game to play and your trolling ain't going to change a thing.

A lot of people will be returning.  I know for a fact a lot of people, me included, were waiting for the transfers so we didn't have to buy the NA client.

It's a common retention tactic, usually done when there's some update in the game. LotRO does that a lot. I'm sure they want to stabilize subs numbers to have a better financial year result.

Good deal for those who would subscribe anyway.

grasping at straws is where they lower the game to 5 dollars a month.

IMO this is smart, but they need to lower the client version from 50 to like 20 like EVE

Nobody wants to pay 50 and find out it is not for them. 20 dollar versions will be better then a free trial.

Give it up homie your post above alludes to the "fact" that they are grasping at straws....a statement you cannot under any circumstance prove, since straws (besides drinking straws) are hard to find in Greece.

I knew WoW had to do something with this post... it always does, one way or another.

This is a pretty awesome deal for all the people who really wanted to try the game out but have been waiting on the fences.

Not to mention great for current subscribers too!

It actually looks like this game has a good chance of finally taking off. These forums will still be hell though I'm sure.
Man that "why EVE sucks" thread takes the cake though. That was some impressively ridiculous crap.

Sounds like a decent deal, should bring a lot of people back or joining up for the first time.

Turbine and EvE both offer similar deals and discounts at least once a year, so its not exactly a dire warning.
