Yeah, that's an issue for people with a backbone and a modicum of self-respect. You needn't worry, princess. A lot of people actually don't like the game in its current state - paying twice for it just seals the deal on them leaving for good. Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

Neither of those traits are serious problems for those who put up (and even defend) the arrogant attitudes Aventurine has displayed toward the community from before release. I think masochism is a pre-requisite for the game. |

well the deal is this. many people (myself included if I was moving to NA) want to re-roll and take advantage of the land grab as soon as possible. They also want to ge in new at the start with other players building their skills liget with a server that has a few more "cheat corrections". So yeah, from my view point if I had plans on NA I would want to start as soon as possible and I would have to spend the extra money. Thing is, although I do not consider myself wealthy, an extra $50 given the other options for that $50 is not all that bad.
Good answer friend. you actually made me see it the other way. now i have sympathy for those who want a fresh start from scratch. but still think the ones who want a transfer from day one are just power hungry ego trips who want to take advantage of newcomers newbieness. But for those that want a fresh start i see your point and sorry for offending any of you. |

An EULA is a contract. A contract, for it to be legal, cannot contain clauses that require a party of the contract to renage their basic legal rights.
this is why SWG were forced to offer refunds for the exapansion the released 5 days before the nge appeared.
EULA or not they were liable for breaking basic consumer rights under statute.

Dont forget in europe it is different friend. For instance we employ 36 people and in each and every contract it states that job duties could change at anytime. And it is perfectly legal. In England we use a company called First Buisness that check each contract before issuing them. |

Short simple answer to your drival.... Bull Shite. Lets see some citations and statutory references proving your statement. |

This assumes there are more active players than spots to compete for. At the current rate of erosion, how many will be left of the few thousand (3000?) now online when NA servers comes to play? How many new sub will occur? If there are more land to grab than people interest in fighting you for it, then well, grab all you want and come back online, talking more about DF here. The game of DF is played on forums, where you defend the game, as there is no point fighting inside the game. |

EULA is like a contract agreed. But in my country there are Consumer rights which are written perfectly in the Constitution. If a EULA even if agreed and signed or whatever you want is unconstitutional then the company is pretty much screwed and can easily lose in a court.European court is known for its pro-constitution decisions. On the other hand i havent read DF EULA so cant really say if this applies to this occasion. |
