In the EULA it allows the owners to change whatever the hell they want. You agree to it upon playing.
That is all. |

Too bad consumers still have rights, no matter what that jumble of legal text says before you start playing.
But I do agree with your main point. People who are getting upset with Aventurine have no right to be, in regards to the new server/pricing. |

hey OP, how the fuck do you justify calling people who are pissed at AV "fanboys"? Do you even know what it means??? You might claim people don't have a "right" to be pissed, but it doesn't matter. We still have the "right" to refuse to give another fucking red cent to AV. Considering how hurting they are for $$, I think that will get the message across. ANd I'll laugh my ass off when that shitbomb closes down. |

No, the end user license agreements might be a good reason why people will never win a lawsuit against AV, but they certainly do have a right to be pissed off being asked to pay 2 times. And as others have mentioned, they have a right to stop paying AV anything going forward. RIP Darkfall, we hardly knew ya

the point most are forgetting is that you simply DONT have to buy the game twice. The only reason you need to is if you just can't wait for 3 months on the EU server. and if you have been playing on the EU server up untill now, then i dont get it...why the sudden need to change? just wait the 3 months lol! Or do we have to buy it twice and i am missing something? i can't find it anywhere in the forums? |

well the deal is this. many people (myself included if I was moving to NA) want to re-roll and take advantage of the land grab as soon as possible. They also want to ge in new at the start with other players building their skills liget with a server that has a few more "cheat corrections". So yeah, from my view point if I had plans on NA I would want to start as soon as possible and I would have to spend the extra money. Thing is, although I do not consider myself wealthy, an extra $50 given the other options for that $50 is not all that bad. does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |

Plus there are other restrictions. What they may be no one knows yet, thanks to Aventurines lack of informing its player base. Now these restrictions could range from a lose of skills to only certain players may transfer based on time in game. for example: All players transfering will have thier skills reduced by 50%. or If you subscribed after april 1st, 2009 you cannot transfer. Now I'm not saying that either of these will happen. Just that they could happen. Again Cause Tasos stated transfers would have other restrictions besides lost of gear and money. Now with that said I would think that some of the players that would normally just wait for a transfer may look at it as not such a good deal. Yeah they save themselves $25.00 by transfering. But could these restrictions be more hamfull to those that want to wait? Either way until we get more information Neither option of buying the new client or transfers looks good. |

Read the part about the limitted lisence agreement. Then find the part in the EULA that says that lisence agreement is restricted by region. I'm just saying.... |

I'm in agreement here with SEANMCAD. AV knows that it has some loyal fans, and charging them twice makes financial sense for the company. AV would be best served by adding layers of cost to everything in this game, their only real chance at survival will come from their willing fans paying a little extra here and their to keep the game afloat.
Actually, if AV just laid their cards on the table and asked the fans to make additional donations to keep the game afloat, I bet they'd rake in the bucks. Wouldn't hurt to try! |

I see what your saying here, DF should add a Cash Shop. Excellent idea.
