Objectives

Our focus is to provide a long-term home for the 'dedicated casual' player based in the UK and Europe. By 'casual' we mean players that have other commitments in real life such as their job, family and other interests, and whose play time may be be limited. By 'dedicated' we mean players willing to immerse themselves fully in the game and give 100% to the guild and to our objectives.

Our goal in Darkfall is to get involved in as much as we possibly can! Whilst we have an increased emphasis on PvP, with scheduled training nights and raids, we also do a fair amount of PvE to support ourselves and have fun. In addition we have a clan PvP Ladder which all members are required to be ranked on. We are based in our holdings of Frostbourne on Niffelheim, Velmuna in Alfarlands, Issar Ruins in Wolflands, Ichtan on Yssam and Eslingar near Cairn.

In support of our main guild activities we also run an internal trading system. Basically the guild will buy nearly everything that our members have to sell, either to re-sell to other members or to the server. The purpose of this trading system is to ensure we can supply all our members' needs and generate Guild funds (we do not tax our members directly to generate income).

We take a neutral stance with most new players and guilds we meet, although we will deal harshly with anyone that harasses our members. The exception to this is that we will always attack non-members that approach our holdings. We are entirely independent and not allied to any other clan ingame - we are making our own way in the game.

While we do have some specific recruitment requirements, these are intended to ensure that our guild is made up of mature, outgoing, friendly and helpful players.

We are highly organised and very determined, and as such we are only looking for players that are willing to get fully involved in the guild. In return for your support this guild will provide you with a friendly, loyal and stable community.

At the moment we are only accepting applications from experienced gamers who are not new to the world of Darkfall. If you are new to the game, we would strongly recommend you join the clan "NEW" which is designed to help you in your first month of the game. You are welcome to apply to us after that.

Adults (i.e. 18+) with a mature, friendly and outgoing attitude to life.

Casual but dedicated players who like to play hard when they can! Players used to grouping, contributing and getting involved in a guild. We are NOT a guild for solo players, unsocial players or selfish players. You must be a team player..

Highly Desirable

Players that are creative or that have strong organisational skills. We want proactive members. Players that show a passion for the game, for helping fellow members and getting things done! In particular we need fighters, explorers, diplomats and players willing to learn everything there is to know about this game.

We are active PvPers, with weekly training, group combat and raiding sessions. We've also introduced a PvP ladder to help bring in some friendly competition between members. If you have good PVP skills and would like to help grow our organised PvP hunting groups then we need you!.

Not acceptable

Immature players. Players that whine, complain and do not accept guild policy. Players with negative attitudes, who are only out for themselves and whinge over not getting "their share" of battle loot. Aggressive or anti-social players. We do not tolerate l33t speak - proper English please! Keep trash talking to an absolute minimum - in character NOT personal!

Guilds Interested in Merging

Lux Arcana has a 6+ year gaming history, and during that time we have handled numerous smaller guilds merging with us. If you are in a small guild or unguilded group of friends that is looking to merge with a bigger guild then please contact me.
