I've read that you can hear people fighting from a distance.. can I make the assumption there will be no back ground music? I play most games with no sound (as I couldn't stand the sound of drudges being slaughtered, no in game music and the perpeptual loop that plays).. will I have to deal with music or sound? Or can I continue to play with the sound off and.. well.. usually, some sort of music on..?

 Well, there really isn't any information on it.  I imagine that they have the ability to change the volume though - so you should be able to turn it down to 0.  Sound will be part of the gameplay in Darkfall - but it's up to you if you want to use it.

Continous in game music ? Who would want that ? i ll turn music off ...the only place i would tolerate music would  be some race theme or some capital city theme when entering the capital city ...if i am fighting i have some special mp3 to get me in the "right mood" of ...slaughtering ..hehe
