I know I'm going to be called a troll for posting this, but this isn't really outside coverage.  Tasos hosts the Noob comic website and they have played other games together.  For a long time.  This is a friend of Tasos.  She's also not allowed to say anything about the game not approved by Tasos first.  So while it's more information on the game, it's not unbiased or complete.

I'm also not saying she's not in the beta.  But it seems to be more of a friends and family beta than a public beta.

(Other people known to be in beta are Darkfall forum moderators, two frequent posters/long time followers, and the two Italian guys)

Also - I never knew Aventurine hosted The Noob and hung out with the artist till today, which is both cool and weird (weird in a coincidental way).

Still, she can't just put her credibility at stake. She has quite an audience - of which a good part is Darkfall followers - and being a part of a hoax could not be good for her own career as a cartoonist.

IMO this is another proof, that we are not dealing with vaporware.

Being attacked by a fellow noob, isn't exactly "ganking" is it ? With server purges happening often, I'm guessing that ppl atren't placing too much into alignment either. Perhaps he will get a "I backstabbed Gianna" t-shirt ?

While I do like the fact these are the first screenshots I've seen w/o the Darkfall/Aventurine logo in the corner, this writer is an avowed friend of Tasos, is under the same harsh NDA restrictions the Italians were under, and it appears she got to play the same noob/starter zone they did as well.

Can't help but remember that Funcom had AOC's 1-20 area working like a charm at release, but the rest of the game certainly needed lots of improvement.  They too restricted players to this new area in a big way.

Now truthfully, I've never heard of the NOOB, but I'm willing to admit its one of the most credible sources they've permitted to go public yet.  Shame that though she's a friend of theirs, she admits to not really following the game nor understanding much about it.

But its all just part of dealing with the enigma that is Darkfall. 

Someday we'll get a chance to play it too, and then the mysteries will be revealed.

It’s the old “I don’t know anything about this game or its past, but its looks great to me” routine.

You have also “reciprocated the favour by” writing this promotional puff piece without an ounce of objectivity.

Once again notice how they only talk about making a new character in the starting area and killing goblins?

My wild guess is that next part will cover crafting, because there’s nothing else left to preview.

Its obvious now only a small number of community moderators and longer term supporters and friends are in this public beta, what a farce.

Have you read the piece at all? Or are you just spewing bs like always?

Where did she say that the game will blow your socks off or something to that extend?

You just lost all your credibility, not that you had any in my eyes anyway.

What she does is just a description of a scene in the beta. There's no "it has the best graphics evah", or do you just think  someone is objective only when they agree with you, that this game is going to fail etc etc etc?
