I really wish Aventurine would allow more information out, and more beta-testers in.  Or even to just plain start the open beta, seeing as they seem to be on some double-secret probationary period in their closed beta.

Well, I have to agree the animation sucks balls. Really no kind way to put it. Graphics are liveable. But, um, where are all the testers that are in this beta? I seen one other player character ( I think it was anyway, could've been an NPC ) in a quick shot in the first part of the video. The rest was the deformed chick running around whacking at things and a few shots of holding a bow in first person view. Oh, and the same stand around NPCs I see in every other game.

So what I seen was: nothing new.

Asleep, beta testers as you know are very organized players.  They usually play between the hours of 1 and 3 in the afternoon...Never any other time.... Gosh!

But yeah, it is a disapointment; and lends credibility to the fact that this is likely a "very" closed beta.  If that's the case, all those people saying Aventurine's not hyping this game, are lying to themselves.  

News on a good point.........I think I found a 360 for a damned good price on EBay!

I am a little worried about this game.

Lots of big claims, little in the way of video to show it.

I think I may wait til after the release and see what people say about it before buying it.

Honestly graphics and all the other bullshit aside that Vid was Horrible.

Now i am not a DF hater or a Fanboy but you have to seriously start asking Questions like Zorvan said, Where are the other testers? Why is the Closed beta so secretive like? if there were other testers why is there no leaked footage? , now dont tell me that they are being little goody 2 shoes and sticking to the NDA or whatever it is called, if the there is some 1 testing this game because they love it surely they would leak some vids, to boast about how cool the game is, or how polished it is, or how much of a Turd it is or just to brag about being in the Beta, hell i would do with some screens or some 1 just talking about there exp in game.

Now like i said i dont hate the game but we need to be realistic here, why is it that we have waited all this time since the Last Vid to see something as half assed as that, that Video was no better than the Official Video released not so long ago, i want to see PROPER game play let's see a fight from go to woe, lets see interaction with an NPC from beginning to END.

Im not entirely sure if this game is Pushing me away more or what it is doing because all i am feeling to be Honest is Sorry....I'm feeling sorry that i think a lot of you guys out there that have put in a lot of time following this game are going to get let down, not saying you will, just saying that I feel this way.

Apparently you didn't watch the video.  Review it again and note that the only thing sub-par, graphically was the viewing distance, and the character models/animation.

EDIT* Have you ever played WoW by chance?  If so, you'll note that Darkfall's graphics are slightly better, and character models slightly more realistic.  In realizing this, you might also realize you've been playing a game released in 2005, not 2000 which looks worse than Darkfall.  So yeah, before you speak, learn to create an actual argument.

The video was dreadfull... so much time waiting for autorization and the holy word of Tasos to post it and thats what it is a pos. How can a company approve of this video to show off their game... unless they have nothing else to show.

Sorry to burst you're bubble pal but world of warcraft graphics, level design, animations, water FX, Shadows and pretty much everything else are on a totally different level than that junk.

I've a feeling that the only mob they've working is the goblin, doing that crazy fucking hit and run bullshit.

So far, it's the only mob we've seen.  Which is scary, thinking that the entire gameworld needs to be filled.  A million goblins that take 10 minutes to kill, each...Sounds like a blast?

Yea, I agree. Only thing I keep hearing is how smart the goblins are. "Hey, look this goblin is running away!! He's smart!!". Seems to me the only zone they have even remotely finished is the starting area with those super smart goblins.

Im not sure what the point is of attempting to have discusion with people who maintain a skeptical outlook at this game, no matter what argument is rebutted it just seems to continue, what i think these labeled 'trolls' should really state in their post is......not convinced until i play it....and thats it, why people bother posting more than that is a mystery to me, seems like a waste of energy.

Surely forums should be used to talk about upsides and downsides to features they are told are in the game and be taken at face value, then progress much along the same lines after release...whenever that is (quite frankly does not matter if its today or 2025.....I don't see how it really affects anyone except the company and people involved with the company)

Don't like what you see here...move along to a game you do like.....

I am one of the most skeptical/realistic people i know...but i don't see the point of spewing vile on a forum board forever and a day.....if you have an interest in the game then why can't people focus on the good and positive of what they here and hope for the best.

Some gamers would like for us to believe that we have to choose between great graphics and great gameplay.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  Both are entirely possible and should expected of modern MMOs.  Of course, as long as gamers make excuses and accept anything less, you'll have developers pushing games out that will fail to reach their full potential.  If a game can be improved, there's absolutely nothing wrong with saying so regardless of whether it's graphics, gameplay, AI, quests, or whatever.   That doesn't make you a child; quite the contrary in fact.

I've replied to this before, and you of course decided to ignore it.

Tell that thing to Mythic, Funcom and Blizzard. (the you can have good graphics and good gameplay part).

And I don't agree that saying graphics matter is childish, it's just different opinions.
