I don't know but all the hype and the way this game presents itself reminds me and gives me the same feeling the Dark & Light debacle did,

There's so much promised on the website, if they do pull it off this would no doubt be the NEXT-GEN mmorpg, can they do it? I sure hope so but I'm not sure................seems these games which promise the world rarely deliver a complete continent........

They said everyone will be able to try the game before buying it. Even if they don't keep that promise i'm sure there will be beta videos all over the place after NDA lift and people will know what they're buying.

Dark and Light videos looked impressive too.

So did the videos and screenshots and hype for Mourning.

All these mmo games produced by small never heard of before teams end up sucking hard

Yes, it does seem strange that the game is supposed to be released in 3 months, and it hasn't even entered beta yet. In fact, they haven't let anyone from outside the company play the game.

If DF took out 99% of there content, made the NPCs AI 10x worse. Reduced the quests by 90%, Made it a button pressing combat system and disabled full world PVP, and had a rediculous flying system that made it impossible for any character socialization whatsoever. Then and only then would i say DF is slightly more similar to D&L than Before. Other than that the only thing they have in common is A:Fantasy B:Open vast world.

And how do you know Darkfall has all these things? Have you played the game? No, I didn't think so.

Well I'm looking forward to this game but I must admit it does have some similarities to D&L if you look over the forums from before it's release. 

I have never played D&L but it sounds like it wasn't a finished game when it was released, contained lots of horrendous bugs and had a large variety of other, mostly self inflicted, problems due to a very shoddy and possible dishonest dev team.

Aventurine does seem like a more professional company but until real, unbiased people get to play the game we can't know for sure. 

I suppose that's true for a lot of games though, I was playing Mercenaries 2 recently and it was a hideous experience, and that was released by EA who are supposed to a leading publishing company.

If it is a finished, feature complete game and plays well then it will be truly epic game for people who like sandboxes so I'm gonna follow it regardless and hope it turns out well.  If it doesn't then what have I lost? Nothing really.
