It looks like they stuck ken (barbie dolls) head on top of a suit of armor, i bet that will improve but its funny looking in that one pic.

I find Darkfall's dark and gritty style to be better and more realistic. Other games can keep their high detail textures designed for kids, i'll take a realistic style backed up with realistic lighting any day.

 I already said it, but I will say it again, Darkfall is not realistic, take the black knight example, it is even more cartoony than some games that use a caricature style.

Dark and gretty? The game is ultra colored, check the screenshot you posted, the armor is shinning more than a brand new silver plate, where is the darkness and violence in this world full of color, shinning metal and goofy characters?

The concept of the game may be darker, but the art direction is not.

... anyway, I think there is no point  to go on with this.

I love Warhammer  graphics or art whatever you wanna call it , except the dark elfs dont look as good as the others races , imo better than anything DF has shown me then again that MY taste .

lights and shadows are really poorly done in a lot of MMOs, even recent ones like Aion, there are only character shadows, not shadows from other objects. Thing is, you don't really notice until you stare at Darkfall screenshots like the one below for a while then anything without shadows looks terrible to you.

eg -- note the correctness and detail of the shadows on everything.

DF have the worst weapons models i ever seen in any mmo , what were they thinking ewww!

shadows will even look better when in motion....

Check the Darkfall's Signature Weapons post, the hammer, the halberd are totally cartoony, similar to toys...

Sorry for all the DF butt kissers :P but I think the Darkfall graphics are....messy, no definition wat so ever, I don't know if it is my eyes playing up or wat but its kind of hard to see the characters and what they are doing.

Also I still stick to my statement, lag fest here we come. And btw yes my computer is extremely capable of running Crysis hands down, its not about my computer running the graphics, its everyones pc's and the how the server will handle transfering all the data that will make it a lag fest. Not every computer will be able to run those graphics by a long way, and I've seen games that don't have to run great graphics and still be lag fests!

The frame rate, i think from looking at those pics will be hidious, real time shadows and lighting will drain away those frames and it would take an hour to load to start with lol!
 

I still don't beleive it will happen, i'm not a troll or non of that cr*p, I'd like to try the game out, think a sandbox game will be cool for once, don't know about the pvp, and gank fest kiddies but the rest seems cool, just a bit to good to be true.

Bah its all my opinon, probably not of others.
