Dark and violent?  Half the screen shots have blindingly bright contrast of colors that puts WoW to shame.  Like half the screenshots off the official site have friggin rainbow flowers in bloom or pretty fields of tall bright colored grass.

Agree. Its a dark, gothic gameworld that fits the theme of the game perfectly.

Games like WoW, Warhammer and Aion have a cartoonish look to it which looks just awful and .....cartoonish.

No cartoonish graphics here. Looks very realistic and a world i would love to jump right into.

A feeling i never get on the other game mentioned above. There graphics look's just plain childish.

The world looks great and i am psyched about the game, but the character modells and wepons don't. If the game is full loot means that no one hangs on to the gear for very long so i would've wanted to see more realistic wepon modells. And for the characters i don't mind that much, it's a small company with limited resources.

And why do people keep posting screenshots? Everyone already knows how outdated the graphics are.

dam eq2 is ugly :)

and df does have ugly art aswell imo.

Im willing to forgive mediocre graphics if the gameplay is solid.

If uber graphics was all that meant something, we'd all be playing age of conan.
