Its a common fact that on the official DF forum, many members will use the forum name later ingame. And since DF is a FFA PvP MMO,  you will pay for beeing a ass on the forum.  And if you are a "nice" fella, others will help you..and so on.

I know MMORPG.com is a general MMO forum, but does anyone here at the DF section have any intension of using thier forum name later in Darkfall??

Vansinne may not be a appropriate name =P But I have my standardname for use. No idea yet what my ingame name will be. But I will have it in my sig.

I agree, "insanity" is not a name of choice :p

I'll go 100% Rp, so i will make up a character with his own story.

I'll probably just make one up off the top of my head during character creation.

It won't be an rp type name though.

I dont think mine will work hehehe and as we only can have one character per server, I will have to think the name careful!   :)

I will let you all know my in game name once we are all playing.  Anyway, I will keep expressing my opinions without careing if  that will affect me in game.

I will keep trying to be always polite, of course.  But I will never hide my real opinions just because of fear of retalation in a game!  :)

I wont use my forum nickname because I didnt think much when I create the account and I dont really like it hehe.

I'd prefer they limit forum posting powers post launch to only players with active accounts and make players use their in-game name on the forums. 

Probably not going to happen.

Nope, at release, I will be using a secret awesome name (not Ammon or any variation) that I hold close to my chest so that nobody steals it before I create my character with it. So its a secret. I do come up with the most awesome names ever, and in the past, people always steal them if I reveal them before release day.

I will be using some dumb name during beta, not the awesome names. My awesome names are for release.

Outside the official forum, not many seems to want to use thier ingame name. But nothing wrong with that. As i said, this is a general MMO site, you dont "want" to have the same name in all MMOs you try-

i think that unpolite guy on the forum will just take a different name in the game.

I like that idea, but for it to be really effective you would need to have 1 char per account (or you'll end up with the EvE situation of people posting with forum alts).

Ive got a few names I use in MMO's depending on the sort of character im building -  Yonas/Jonas (utility), Erasmus (dps), Grimm (tank), Patrik (healer), along with a couple of others. But its unlikely i'll use my mmorpg.com name - using the name of a 20th century mathematician isn't very 'RPish' :P

Yes, but dont you see what that leads to?

There is a reason why it is called "Forumfall". Many "characters" are well known alreaady, clanleaders, pirates and mercenarys. They already have a reputation.  I know we dont have the game yet.  But they have to be prepared to back  up that reputation later ingame.

And that reflect the sandbox gameplay in some bit. You will become known as the person that "insert succes or failure". And you wil run inte the others.
