UO and Meridian 59 actually launched. Until Darkfall actually launches, then it gets ZERO CREDIT for anything other then perhaps breaking promises.

Credit ? What are you talking about ? The features is supported by todays technology, they are even implemented in other games. No one outside Aventurine circle of trust can say anything about them having the capability to pull it off. That said, you'll be in the game testing the features with the rest of us without any financial risk.

How do you know?  How do you know there won't be a free trial with credit card required??  Lots of games do that...  than they just bill you when you forget to cancel..

But I suppose if the game is a steaming pile of shit no noe will forget to cancel...

Although the funny thing is that Dark and Light kept billing people sometimes 3 x over even after they cancelled.

i could feed them more, and for a second there i thought that op may actually have the capacity to have a serious discussion, but then i saw him use reviews for AoC as "support" for his argument...and i think we all know the truth with that one.

OP doesn't understand how the business world works.  Only reason I can give for why he thinks those reviews actually reflect the quality that AoC launched in and is currently in.  Thinking those reviews are legit is just lol.  But if you want to site numbers and facts...well you can look at the rapid decrease in the playerbase, as well as funcom stock.  Though im sure you have a way to either avoid those facts or change the topic.

Oh and if DF promises that certain features will be in on launch, and they arent there, then yes it will be a "hoax" in the same way that AoC is.  Hoax seems to be used in different ways here, but i seriously hope no one is using it as being literally a big scam, because that would just be lol.  Now if they openly cut things out like WAR did, then no of course it wont be a hoax.

But the main reason it wont be a hoax is if they follow through on their claim that we can play it without spending a dime on it first.  Unlike AoC which capped their open beta to obviously disguise the fact that post lvl 20 gameplay was not as they promised it would be.

I don't recall this ever taking place.

I do recall Darkfall getting completely destroyed by this thread and many others here time and time again.

Not a hard thing to accomplish though so I won't give myself too much credit for doing it constantly.

I sense alot of misguided anger in you. You should take that and direct it where it truly belongs ---- at the Darkfall developers.

Because they are truly the root of the problem. If you can't see that than you are a lost cause along with this whole project.

I am not saying that Age of Conan is a great game, but compared to what we have with Darkfall right now, Age of Conan is so far ahead, it's not even comparable.  Once Darkfall actually releases, then we will make comparisons.

So you fans keep telling yourself that Darkfall is a billion times better then Age of Conan with absolutely nothing to back it up except your wildest fantasies.  I feel bad for you when something they call "reality" hits you upside the head if/when this POS game actually does release. 

 

Betting that AoC has a 5000% more success than a game that is not out seems ridiculous to me. Basically, you are angry ....and doing the same thing that you are complaining about. It's one thing to be angry about Darkfall fans who are speculating that their game will be greater than AoC. But it's hypocrisy when you speculate that AoC is greater than Darkfall for the same reason.

One thing I have been monitoring is how the perception of Darkfall has changed. For a long time, people who were upset called it "Vaporware" and said it wouldn't come out. I've noticed that people are now changing their wording....and saying "IF" it comes out....or "WHEN" it comes out.

A large difference if you compare Aventurine with Funcom concerning hype. Also a large difference concerning honesty.

Well, Aventurine has a long list of "FEATURES" and Tasos says it is "FEATURE COMPLETE".  In four months we'll know if Aventurine was spewing the same lies that Funcom spewed concerning content.  Only time will tell.

Hell, the list of features for Darkfall Online is so thick it even includes ship to ship combat.  About the only feature it doesn't list is space combat, so it suppose to be the most feature complete game ever released.

Guess we'll all know by the end of December just how truthful Aventurine is.

On the contrary. The ones that is getting owned 24/7 and laughed at on other websites is the Darkfall trolls and nay-sayers here on MMORPG.coms Darkfall site.

The people that actually is backing their statements with developer quotes and facts is mostly the fanbois. Guys like you GMny havent backed one statement with anything else then what just flew out of your mouth. Try back your statements with ANYTHING and you will get alot more of credibility.

I followed Darkfall closely since 2001. I was actually the number 22 to enter the original Darkfall board.

There is no more Darkfall fans then usually that have fears on a full or not feature list. Its the same as there always been.
