By far the most utterly ridiculous words on these Darkfall forum threads is being repeated by the fans over and over and over, and it's not only wrong at so many levels, but absolutely ridiculous to even speak of.

What I am talking about is the constant comparisons of this game to Funcoms' Age of Conan mmo. 

How in the hell can you even begin to compare this game or hoax or whatever it is to an mmo that has actually released, seen success, and is up, running, and playable? 

...And furthermore, the faith you fans have to actually trash Age of Conan constantly like you know that this POS game is gonna blow Age of Conan away.  What proof do you have that Darkfall will even ever release first of all?  And if it does, how do you know that it won't be more along the lines of Mourning or Dark and Light?  How do you know it will even be as good as Dark and Light?  I'd call it a major success if it releases and has as much success and runs as smoothly as Dark and Light did when it released, and if that happened, then trashing Age of Conan would certainly make a bigtime fool out of you.

I am betting now that Age of Conan has seen 5000% more success that Darkfall ever will, and that Darkfall, even if released, will NEVER EVER run as good as Age of Conan even on AOCs worst day.

I am not saying that Age of Conan is a great game, but compared to what we have with Darkfall right now, Age of Conan is so far ahead, it's not even comparable.  Once Darkfall actually releases, then we will make comparisons.

So you fans keep telling yourself that Darkfall is a billion times better then Age of Conan with absolutely nothing to back it up except your wildest fantasies.  I feel bad for you when something they call "reality" hits you upside the head if/when this POS game actually does release. 

Age of Conan gets so much hate here, because it was a giant hoax and i personally didn't see any of the avid MMO scam specialist trolling here in the AoC forums predicting it's failure. While they seem to be really confident that Darkfall will flop on it's back.

Age of Conan is the worst ever released MMORPG so far. Theyre nothing but a bunch of thiefs and scammers. Fuck Funcom. I cincerely hope that shit company goes bankrupcy. Its what they deserve after scamming their own playerbase with lies of something that didnt exist. They delivered a game that was still in beta and isnt out of it yet.

They stole money from there playerbase promising a game they couldnt deliver. They took in preorders on same shitgame. Fooled there future subscribers of their hard earned money.

Darkfall on the other hand dont gonna take preorders. You will be able to try the full game before you buy it. Thats playing with open cards and a mature way to sell your product. No sneaking arround like Funcom thiefs did.

 A huge difference btw Darkfall fans and AoC fans is that we dont roam Age of Conan site in numbers talking BS about AoC when numerous AoC fans still roam Darkfall site BS talking Darkfall. Were to mature for that.

Still it looks better at paper than AoC. If it will be better? dunno.

I never followed AoC but I played it during beta and after release. Got to lvl 20 before I quit, WoW lvl 24 and EQ2 lvl 52.

It's not just AoC it's the games since SWG, DAoC I have a hard time to enjoy.

So go back to AoCs forum and don't retaliate AoC failure here.

AoC is a hoax... oh my.

It was a hoax as in they did not deliever what they promoted.... Its that simple.... AoC is a shell of what they told everyone it was, it was not even close to what was hyped. 

AoC = Failure and should not have launched.

I have to agree with AoC being the worst release, and pretty much everything *should* have a better release. Heck even VGs full of laggy bugs was a better release due to content.

But to say Funcom stole everyone's money... no they didn't. Your fellow players were the ones that hyped you all up to extremes, not Funcom. I knew within a couple hours playing beta it was bad, but nobody listened to me when I told them.

rant rant rant , add a little fluff and piles on the lies, provide no proof and then demand some wierd.

Funcom did there best to hype their game and the fans hyped it.

Darkfall developers dont hype their game, only fans hype it.

A large difference if you compare Aventurine with Funcom concerning hype. Also a large difference concerning honesty.

While I don't agree that AoC is a success (because it isn't), AoC does have quite a few points to its advantage when compared to Darkfall.

1.) It released.

2.) It showed more info and more material prior to its release than Darkfall has in its long development time.

3.) It -did- have a "known" company behind it, it was known that money was invested into it, while in Darkfall, you only have the word of a bunch of Developers in a company that hasn't produced anything so far.

These are the three things it has over Darkfall.

Darkfall looks way better on Paper, but nobody can know if things actually turn out as they are promised. Saying that is acting a lot like those "fanbois" you constantly criticized during the final days before AoC's release Aragon. Because you go purely on faith. Tasos could just as well scam you. Do you -know- that you can test Darkfall before you play it? No, you don't. Do you -know- the game will be all Tasos promises? No you don't.

You take it on faith. It's always easy to call BS on something that has failed, but you shouldn't do it while being backed only by a developers words and vague media that is available on Darkfall right now.

That's funny, because the game works great for me. I hit 70 fps almost everywhere, sometimes 90 fps and the graphics are actually spectacular. Now the game DOES have very high end computer requirements to run stable and smoothly. But i really haven't had any problems with AoC.

I'm sorry that you are trying to run AoC on some old 2002 Compaq computer that simply can't handle it, or whatever your problem is, but calling it a hoax and disaster is pretty ridiculous to say the least. The game currently has over 100,000 subscribers least I read. That is hardly a disaster.

Now Age of Conan is not the game I want to play, and I haven't paid for my subsc
