  Based on what?  We base our view that the chances are slim on the fact that everything we have heard from them this year is WORD FOR WORD the same as each year that came before it.  As those years managed to not provide us a Darkfall...3rd grade logic tells us that this year will likely provide the very same results.

  I would  venture to say its not higher than We think, but potentially MUCH lower than YOU think.  Its been fairly obvious you just began watching this game this year.  For those among our number that have seen DF pass its prime in terms of hype and hope....we feel a bit more reserved about believing ANYTHING that comes rushing out of Tasos mouth.  He has a long history of producing little more than feces from that orifice.

Post official release dates 2003 doesnt count which is the only other one. asin they went tog ame convention and are telling people it is releasing this year. nto saying it will depend son how playtsting goes but yea. you should understand by now you dont go to game conventions and Lie striaght to there faces i just dont see how anyone could get away with what he says if there lies. really i dont how long did mourning and stuff last before they got caught lieing? not very long.

Yep, about the same odds that Age of Mourning had and almost as good a chance as Dark and Light had at being the revolutionary mmo games that they promised to be as well.

I give Darkfall about a 10% chance of releasing as promised by end of 2008.
(About a 25% chance of releasing by end of 2009)
 

I give Darkfall about a 5% chance of actually being halfway stable at its launch.
 

And I give Darkfall about a 2% chance of offering even half of its promised features at launch.
 

And the chances of Darkfall launching and succeeding? Less then 1/10th of 1%.
 

That's right, I say the odds of Darkfall releasing and actually succeeding in any way, shape, or form are about 1,000 to 1 against it. And trust me, that's giving Darkfall and Adventurine a LOT of credit for those odds to be that high.
 

No sarcasm at all. That's actually where I'd place what I'd call realistic odds. Any odds much higher would make you delusional and perhaps lacking common sense.

 

It not even funny how wrong you are you should know by now they not goign to release a buggy game. or unstable stable... you should know by know they skip dates if they have too. But NO everythign you guys says always neg gates what you complain about before.

Just this May, Tasos himself promised a new revolutionary game video "within a few weeks." <-- LIE.

And now He has promised a new video that will really kick ass in August and launch of game by end of 2008.

But I suppose when the game doesn't launch in 2008 and he spills more diarrhea out of his mouth, you will eat it all up and still say he hasn't ever lied about anything, right?

You must also realize that, many companies have gone to say... E3 and GDC sporting their game with a release date later that same year and end up postponing the game another year or so. Spore is an example of this. We had been promised 2006. 2007. and finally assured 2008 after both EA and Maxis confirmed it. Dates can change, and as Darkfall has such a HUGE reputation for doing just that. If something on their budget doesn't go right... they will have no qualms or resistence delaying it again.

I gave up hope on Darkfall coming out a LONG time ago. To me it's like believing in bigfoot. It's fun to hope for it's existence, there have been sightings and rumors... but we've got no solid proof.. and every nut case who walks in a forest will tell you it exists. But you never know, we could just very well find it.

  First, it DOES count.  It suggests they had the game feature complete...and if you think they actually had to completely throw out an entire feature complete game than you're a damn fool.

  Second, they've said every year (read: every) that beta was that year.  Beta predates release, and each year they have failed to even provide that.  To top that off, after 7 years they STILL can't manage to get a cam in there on the actual game running.  I find this amazing, since many F2P games (which often are built on budgets FAR smaller than any undertaking such as this will require, and generally with just as few hands) offer a thousand times the information for their fans.

  They have told their fans many lies....easily half of which are simple enough to prove.  The other half I may as well CALL proven false....because common sense would dictate most of it to be retarded trash that people completely ignorant of how a PC even works might spout off to children in order to sound smart.

i never said they throw out everything in 2003 but in 2003 soem features werent int he faqs alto has been added since then.. and everything Got redone tho including an engine rebuild. tech no they didnt scrap everything they Rebuilt everything/upgraded

Xxeon, it's kinda annoying for me that you only ask for proof (links, for example) to the naysayers, as you call them.  Did you ever consider to ask for proof to the yessayers too?  Or to give proof of your statements?  That last thing may work better in a discussion.  Please, don't take this comment badly.  I am just saying that imo giving proof of your statement is the best way to discuss.  If the other people don't support their saying with proof its their problem.

Im not going around sayign taso is telling the truth im going around telling the naysayer to prove he lied i want some darn links to promise beta and releases really i do. because i onyl see the 2003 one maybe 2004 1 no clue why they did that but for officcly annunced release dates there is 2.

and the first 1 was announced when they annunced the game thats perfectly understandable with this size of a project. and they have been so vague since then about dates and everything. that i know when they actulyl officcly announce date for release playtesting/beta will at least start before that release date passes.

But last eyar they did start beta with there prot esters. but it was more closer to the end of the year. remember the dev journal about the setting up of new servers. and then in jan he said they have been in beta testing i think that was jan meh close enough but yea.. everything works out..
