the CONTENT is the same though, just drawn out into 35 minutes. i was bored after 5 mins or barely anything happening, and i turned it off at around 20 mins.

Seriously, who CARES about the UI. that is the most unimportant, easily developed, and incosequential piece of crap in the whole game.

As for someone playing Darkfall -- see the leaked 2005 alpha video............

I’ll wait until August is over or this video is released before I continue this discussion, because it seems rather useless when this video might finally prove conclusively either way beyond reasonably doubt.

One guy jumping and being hit by a bunch of NPCs. Looked more like an Oblivion mod. Whereas in the FE vid there are obvious other players  moving around. Like all the vids DF has, no life to it. No "this is an mmo!!" screaming out at me, whereas FE clearly gives the impression of being an mmo.

you know in the landscape def not ob since i dont think ob was even out.

You just don't understand production.  There's no such thing as just sitting down and doing it.  Why don't they just  sit down and finish the game be tomorrow too?  It takes scheduling of priorities, lots and lots of planning and coordinating with other departments like marketing.  Then there's all the other timing considerations that consumers like you and I just don't get to know.

 

They're supposedly testing it, right? I suppose a camcorder is too much for Tasos or anyone else to handle? Just walk up behind a tester and start filming, is that so damn hard?

That’s the reason why I’m happy just to just wait for games like Fallen Earth, they have released hours of game play footage whilst demonstrating their game at numerous tradeshows, let me just repeat that again, HOURS of game play footage and all the usual trailers and videos etc. and they have only just recently announced they are in Alpha, not to mention all the other relatively massive amount of information released.

yea... FE is doing the right thing by takign there time like AVeturine is. just thy seem to have more staff to work on pr and stuff and alot more money.

Yep, video taped himself playing a singleplayer game. Again, footage of MULTIPLE people playing, since DF is supposedly an mmo..

Like I said, if they are testing, it should be a cakewalk to get footage of MULTIPLE people playing the game together.
