Darkfall’s “Conquer the Seas” Expansion will launch on Thursday December 4th. There could be up to 24 hours downtime but any missed play-time will be refunded to all Darkfall players. The downtime is necessary for the application of the patch and the last minute live testing to ensure that all systems are functioning as they should be. This is a massive expansion and there are major changes to many systems in the game. Aventurine is moving to larger offices this weekend. The specific timing for this had to be moved up to this specific weekend for technical reasons having to do with the transfer of our internet services. Our downtime will be minimal and support and all other game services will continue as usual. To avoid any potential issues with supporting the new expansion, we’ve chosen to wait a few days and launch it after the move is complete and everything is up and running again. |

Lol good one. And that would still be in the range of "bigger Offices".

As a fan of the game even I can laugh at that although I would have said, "Moving out of Mom's basement." |

Pity theres such a big delay, was hoping to get some playtime on the expansion this weekend! But I'm sure its for the better :) Kudos to them refunding time. DF seems to really be improving rapidly, although theres still haters I'm amazed at the amount of people talking about how much they're enjoying the game. |

Have you ever seen a game with no haters and trolls? Only difference between the present DF and the DF at release is that now AV has to tool those shut most of those trolls up and even convert a few "heretic" :þ ---------------------------- |

Still waiting to hear about the huge Nov. expansion that they are releasing. Oh guess they missed it just like they have missed every other date in the last 10 years for this game. What a comedy of errors Av and it's sycophantic fawns are. |

Software development involves constant delays, its just how it is. AV are an indie company, they don't have the mass amount of resources to throw at things to ensure they hit their deadlines, and for that reason may see short delays. Patience will pay off. Recently it seems AV have however been extremely vocal with the community and have been feeding us tidbits of info along with updating us with the progress of things. This is something which they admitted they did poorly initially due to spending all their time on the game itself, but have certainly come full circle. It irritates me when devs don't communicate with their community but AV so far are completely making it up to everyone. |
