Ok, So I played this game a while back when there was only a European Server, liked it, but couldn't afford it anymore... 

Now, that character transfers are free, I was able to move my account to the N. American Server, however when I get on the website to try to resub, it says I have to pay the 50 bucks for the client and free month again, is there a way that I don't have to pay 50 bucks again, or is that the standard here?  thanks

Characters don't transfer until server maintence. Its also possible you logged into the wrong account since the NA and EU account servers are different. It doesn't require any money other than an active sub
