In this week's update, we answer questions from the community. There are several we haven't answered on purpose, hoping to be able to demonstrate instead. Many of you are asking for a video. We hear you, and we're on it as soon as we can. There were also many questions on the public beta and release dates. To this I can say now, that during a planning meeting we determined that our launch date will be inside 2008, with the public beta preceding it by a few weeks. This is official and internally we're a lot more specific, but pending an announcement, we cannot say more at this time.

So mmorpg.com people going to be putting a release date up?

They haven't even had a public Beta yet with anyone playing it. Most MMORPG's have like 6 months of Beta.

its possible... lots of time left in 2008, I just dont see it happening personally unless they jump on beta hard and fast.

This is good news. The question now is how many of the promised features will actually be in on release.

 Are they doing this because the game is ready , or are they doing it because they are out of money?

you must not read very well. taso said it is in beta we will be getting a playtesting a few weeks before release. Why cant you understand this

Tasos says a lot of things. He said beta would start in 2003. So I don't think we should believe everything he says

Gurantee you it's both running out of time and money. They are kicking it out the door like Ubisoft did to Shadowbane if they actually plan on launching this thing this year.

How manty times did AoC get delayed in testing??  Warhammer the same..  Gods & Heros was cancelled.

It was some good news among the hastly picked QA. Beta and release 2008 sounds great! A new video is on the way (read between the lines).

But I do want more information about crafting, I'm no combat junkie =P. Give me a game with 10% of the crafting SWG had to offer pre-cu and I'm happy.
