It think Darkfall will be free, since you know, air is free !!

ATM the game is using the PRAY to play system. If we all pray in w/e god we believe in the devs might have an epiphany and actually release a working beta for the game

Well......they pay for AoC beta so....let people pay for whatever they want : )

And noone will pay a cent for DF untill thay are ingame playing. Thats what the devs have told us.

Well according to the old senior editor of mmorg.com - if they go pay to play then he thinks they will be in trouble... and I agree.

Darkfall can only be Free to play at this point.... which just means it's already a failure.. which it already was years ago.. but still...

Darkfall will be pay to play.  If it was free it would get a terrible community, see all the trolls on here, you would have idiots like that in game.

I would not pay 15$ a month for this game like i do with WoW. I like the concept of this game but the way the devs/company threat us is horrible. They dont want to share information, they dont want to take the time to make some videos and postpone too much their bi-weekly journals.

Most of their journals are what i consider a  philosophical journal, they are so vague without any facts, just a bunch of ideas, I consider Tasos a real amateur without any education to write that shit.

I am afraid the update/patchs process will be  slower than the other mmorpgs, and it will kill the game. People now demand a huge patch every couple of months and an expansion almost every year, if you cant do that you will fail. And Darkfall cant offer this.

Lets just take their website as an example, it is updated maybe 1 team max every year(i am not counting the screenshot). If you click on the community panel, half the websites they list are just broken links, and thats fucking amateur, (the links have been broken for years).

Adventurine website http://www.aventurine.gr/ is horrible too, why if Darkfall is a side project as big as their main logo ?

Read the warhammer journal and compare it to any darkfall journal. For Warhammer i am not afraid to pay  15$, Darkfall, maybe 5$.

When/If DF is released it will be Pay to play.  Like many other games, should it not draw enough subs theres a good chance that free to play will be Aventurines back up plan.

I think they're trying to prove that you don't need to have a powerhouse dev team with all of the suits breathing down your neck in order to produce a high quality game. I know this for a fact, check out mount and blade. They started as a husband and wife who wanted to make a good game (and in my opinion are entirely successful, its one of the best games to come out this decade IMO, and its not even finished yet) and only just a few months ago signed on with a larger company. Does that mean they're less professional? Yeah they are but they've delivered. Lets hope Darkfall can do the same.

I think they will be on hand with patches and stuff pretty well, but darkfall being a sandbox game means there is much more lasting value than 99% of the linear games out on the market today, which once you get to the top of, you're done. Sandbox games can occupy you for much longer, which gives them more time to release expansions.
