Based on the popular Disney/Pixar film, The World of Cars is a free browser-based racing MMO. Players can create their own customized Cars character and take it to race on many planned tracks.

Characters from the film are everywhere, from the character creation process to the loading screen. Clearly, the game is aimed at kids and is family friendly, with a chat filter and nothing offensive.

While the game is free to play, special "racing codes" inside Cars toys in retail stores will unlock items, tracks, and bonuses in the game. Currently in a limited open beta, the game is scheduled to be released sometime in Summer 2009.
