Why is Kingdoms of Amalur being advertised here? This is MMORPG.com..... Kingdoms of Amalur is a single player game. And to give you my review, a waste of 60$..... a BIG waste.... The game offers nothing for the solo player to "delve" upon...
I'm actually really upset this website has this game advertised.... THIS IS SINGLE PLAYER! "MMORPG".com

Would you rather receive ads for adult diape... err, adult incontinence devices or ads for multi-player and single player games? |

To the 15th guy to bring it up; It's a prequel to an MMO coming out, and thusly, it's advertisers are trying to link the two products. "Who cares?" Writer / Musician / Game Designer Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4 |

You are seriously griping over a gaming advert? Just be glad they don't have adverts for stuff like Viagra. |

Originally posted by grunty It could be that he bought it without knowing it was not an MMO, nor did he check the specs, or even the back of the box that would usually give a hint to it. ~anecdote~ I remember when I was a noob to MMOs, and long after my summer playing UO at a friend's house, I picked up SWG thinking that, a) it wouldn't cost a monthly fee, and b) it was 'optional' online. I realised I needed broadband to play it (was still on dial-up, even my UO friend was smart enough to have had broadband), and ended up shoveling the money for it. In the couple days of messing with it fruitlessly on 56.k I had exhausted the booklet of everything - including the EULA. If any of you read one all the way through, you'd question even signing up for it in the first place. The termination of services stated in it ended up coming true when the game went down, but back then I figured not getting a refund for all my money was a jip. It took a long while to stop being dumb about things, in general. ~and that SWG box had all the info on the boxcover that I would have needed to make my decision ahead of time, I just didn't read it carefully... is the point of that story... but in the long run, I'm glad I got sucked in like the rest of you dead people. It's just funny that this now happens about games people suspect are MMOs, yet are in-fact, single-player. If only .Hack didn't come out before it's time. Advertising is advertising.. without it we wouldnt have this site... and OP if you did your shoping like me you'd picked the game up for $30 there was a link here sumwhere on this site.. and im getting every pennys worth if your only getting your impression from the Demo your just silly... the combat is awsome the story lines are great, the voice acting is alighhhtt... IMO this is how TOR shoulda been Voicing for every quest... and a MASSIVE over world... I've played 30+ hours of the game and not even strached the survice of it yet... only bad thing i could nit pick at is the quests r pretty generic.. but the combat is where it shines, this game coulda well been a MMO |

Originally posted by Raserei Yeah.... I wish they would stop with the Diablo3 news myself but Kingdoms of Amular I don't mind so much.... but thats only because I actually enjoy it and because it actually has a connection to an MMO.
I ended up with 3 copies. 2 Xbox 360 copies 1 signed by Salvatore and Schilling and 1 PC copy signed by Salvatore and Schilling. If only I could have had Rolston and McFarlane sign them as well :(
Single player game has me stoked about the MMO too. Can't wait the combat is awsome.

It's not the first time this website has had a non-MMORPG advtertising here. And I still think it's stupid. It's like a Skyrim ad for a website catering to FPS games like BF and COD. Stupid and doesn't fit with the program of what the website is about. "I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." The real question is why is MMORPG giving editorial coverage to it. The sceptical might wonder if EA being an advertiser influeneced this decision. |

Look on the bright side. At least they didn't set up a forum for it. |

Originally posted by Raserei one, they are being paid to advertise it. two, the game is very good. i personally like it more than skyrim, it has way better art direction, quests, story, and less bugs. impressive for the first game from this studio.
