NO. bounty hunter is pathetic. wilderness was the most interesting place before it was ruined. graphics ARE awful, how can you say they are good when you do not have a face.

Actually the post i quoted that i responded to did. And yes it has been pretty obvious with the updates they have been implementing that they are targeting kids. Look at Everything they have been doing recently. The "Parents guides" the  removal of risks, making it a "safe" game. The addition of pets that follow you around like pokemon.. Then of course there is fun orb. All of those things appeal to children. Adults like risks, they like freedom, they care more about actual gameplay than graphics. Everyone compares the game to "hello kitty " now it is disgraceful how much they have gone downhill with this game.  Where are the mods out banning people for playing underage? Noo they are too busy banning people helping friends on the game.  From the mods I have spoken to about this subject.... they do not ban people for being underage even though they lied on a contract, but yet they do ban people trying to give away free stuff for new members. haha luckily I quit before they changed that. gave away a few mill to random noobs before I left this game.

Yeah . jagex's updates have been geared towards 9-10 year old kids....they whine and jagex pacifies them by putting in updates they would like...

I'm not one to judge a game solely on graphics. The graphics aren't what ruined runescape. When I first started playing runescape I thought the graphics were pretty good. Nowadays I think most people would say they are subpar when compared to games like Guildwars, WoW, and Everquest.

But there is a lot more to a game then graphincs. In runescape's case the recent updates are what ruined the game for me and other many other players. The recent updates sent a strong message to the players. It basically was like a slap in the face to all the pkers, merchanters, and other honest players. I understand Jagex made the updates to help the players, but in my opinion they were made them just to help themselves. They really don't give a crap of what any players think. They delete any thread on their forums questioning their descions and they have removed the " Comment on Our Service" link on their website.

This is simply sendinhg the message to us players, that they really don't care about what we think or say. This is why runescape sucks now. They are catering to 9-10 year olds with the stupid Reporting Academy and their horrible updates. The community is also starting to get more and more immature. I'm tired of their silly half-baked updates. They really don't put any thought into any of their new quests anymore, it seems like they're just making more quests to keep people from keeping their quest capes for too long.

They also ban tons of people for no reason. My freind got perm muted for typing in a few question marks. Honestly it's silly. Not to mention the hundreds of bugs in the game and the horrible lag. The bad graphincs just add to all this. Their so-called graphics improvement isn't really much of an improvement. What they really need to do is fix the character's graphics on the game and give them actaully faces. Summoning also sucks. It costs way too much to train and the familars don't even really help you that much. It's just not worth it.

I know. This post wasnt even supposed to sound like this. When I posted it, I wanted to make a point about how WoW players say RuneScape players are nerds, geeks or whatever, just because the games graphics arnt that good. But it turned into something else. Sorry about all the flaming.

I quit anyway to be honest. Not because of the updates, just because the games gotten boring. Even people against this topic have made great points. But truth is, all MMOs have their positives and negatives if you really think about it. Even if you hate RuneScape, you have to say that they did a good job actually making this game a browser game. That and the skills are pretty cool if you play MMOs with a lot of combat.

Jagex thought they wud make it up to players through releasing the summoning skill where they actually listened to the players and made changes as we wanted, however they forgot about one most important thing. Sure summoning may be useful, maybe rewarding at a higher level, but !! they forgot  to make it fun and enjoyable.

From the most recent updates it seems as if jagex was trying get children to play rs, but maybe they think that if a child starts playing then their parents will also start... well, they are wrong! It is more likely that when the parent starts playing then the child will also play, and then both the parent and the child will pay for a membership while when a child starts playing, then the parents thinks it is some stupid kid game, and that their child will get over it soon so there is no need to pay for membership... I give jagex about a year before they go bancrupt... you can already see that they are working on onther projects like mechscape of funorb for extra profits.
