Probably a great addition for other players, but the thing is, its an addition, I would be surprised if people wanted to play swtor just for the space combat when there are games that offer a more expansive experience.

So, I am hoping this addition expands into something more, but as well, they take a look at their game and try to make it all fit together... well.

PVE space combat, pazaak, swoop racing, class stories... basically content that is not a gear grind/faction grind.

And for personally collecting pets is not something i like to do, unless the prize involves some unique puzzle/challenge... So, avoid gear grinds as much as possible imo.

I'm sure this pvp space content will have some kind of tier system, which makes sense I suppose, but to what end? When are they going to re-add more gear? Also assuming the advancement will be something similar to pvp or faction rep. Nothing worse in fps than not only dealing with lag, but imbalances with infinite gear grinds, and no depth to the content.

Not sure why a lot of thier content is not class story, and gear grinds.

RebelScum99 writes: That actually seems really cool, depending on how much free-form movement you are allowed.  Not sure it's enough to keep me back long-term, but I might be interested in dusting off my character and giving it a shot.  Would have preferred having a PvE component to it as well, but overall, not bad on first glance. I'm slightly disappointed that it looks like you just tape down your attack button (anyone remember the auto-fire switch on older joy sticks?) and try to follow your enemies, hitting them eventually enough times for them to blow up.

Is there more to it? I guess Xwing/Tie Fighter  levels of complexity (LOL) are out?

rodingo writes: I hope they don't make the mistake of making different levels of ship gear to powerful.  Sure it can be fun "progressing" by adding more stuff to your ship, but if you they make it to were a guy can one-shot another and be almost impossible to shoot down then it's just going turn a lot of people off.  That's just me being pessimistic though since I feel they screwed the pooch by adding "expertise" gear in PVP in the first place. What I think?

Just more space combat on rails. Perhaps alittle more pew pew, but as another poster stated just duct tape down your fire button and follow the target.

Nothing you will do will hve any effect or matter in any way. Blow something up no matter it will be back in 5 seconds for someone else to blow up, and no matter how many time you destroy said objective it won't make any difference at all in the static never changing 'war'.

  Spoiler alert!

The darkside kills tortures and kills almost all the jedi and reigns supreme for along long time till one of the last jedi kills Darth vader and the rebels finally win (by which time your long dead) end story.(except for Disney remakes)
