so you keep naming flaws, but you keep giving the game overrated high scores which it (seemingly in your own opinion) does not even deserve? im confused
I love the game but NL-Rikkert is right. It does recieve a lot of named flaws in the vid yet still then is given an exrremely high score per section. if I didnt play it I would find this rather odd also.
I play the game I like the game, but its a game none the less. IT IS FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT!! If you like it play it. If you don;t, don;t play it. Its that simple..
Everyone knows they have the ability to either play a game or not... everyone also knows these comment sections aren't merely for praise... criticism will happen in a free speech environment whether or not the 12 year old enthusiasts armed and ready with their parents' plastic like it...
now to get on with my criticism of what I've seen based on the above movie: UI looks ugly.. don';t get me wrong I like neon glowing colors of any sort, just not wrapped fatly around every UI button. Besides that, the theme-park design is so overplayed and tells me I should not bother wasting my time as linear gameplay be best left to 2d side-scrollers.. ugh excuse me for wanting something fresh and exciting mechanically speaking. 5/10
I agree with the ratings - this game is extremely fun. However, this review is another story for multiple reasons.
The reviewer was only level 16, hardly experienced anything in the game at that point and barely even had a ship. His rants and opinions were completely contradictory to his ratings.
He never even mentioned the crafting system that your companions offer, the exploration bonuses of datacrons and special colored lightsabers (there is actually a puzzle to get magenta, bioware gave us a clue of 273.15), or the STAR FOX style space battles. No mention of PVP warzones, or the world PVP zones in tattooine and Illum.
To top it all off, some of his main concerns are Bioware's main focus right now.
UI, Guilds, end-game content, LFG system.
Bioware has also stated that their entire team was left on the SWTOR project to churn out new content. They've mentioned a huge change/overhaul to space battles - but won't give out details until they know they can offer it (my guess is de-railing your ship to grant flight control, or some type of ship based PvP warzone).
What a wish wash review, bordering on the inane, you complain about a feature or lack of features then give it 9 out of 10. Nothing on space combat, that’s a joke, crafting system that is broken and designed as a time and “credit,” sink.

Mon Jan 09 2012 1:34AM ReportThis review is poor for one reason and one reason only.
Despite the reviewer giving it a high score. His comments and overall tone implied otherwise.
Tue Jan 10 2012 9:20AM ReportI dunno, from his tone it sounds as if he is reading it off a paper and not from his own opinion. Maybe because it's Mike B's review?

Thu Jan 12 2012 2:49AM ReportPlayed it for a few weeks, after that my computer crashed.
Might take some time to get it repaired, so I decided to try some other games on my old computer (it doesn't meet SWTOR's system requirements).
But after playing SWTOR I really can't enjoy any other game anymore, they all feel old/boring/distant.
