Combat is still a bit wonky with the animations and such. Overall though I like the progression of armor. You really will be able to see what is what.

Computer specs have nothing to do with how combat looks on a video unless it was recorded on a crappy computer. Anyways it's getting better, still not great. Try not to get your star wars panties all bunched up when someone makes a slight criticism.

I was never a fan of path progression with classes. Unless there is a way to step back from a choice you make, you may end up going down a branch you do not enjoy causing you to either reroll of deal with it.

Ya combat is still looking kinda sketchy.. would like to see the UI along side the fighting to see how things are strung together.

My favorite part about the Star Wars movies is when they're fighting with hot lightsaber on lightsaber action, how the actors/characters never moved. They just stood in one spot and slapped blades together.

Everyone remember that in the movies?  Standstill Lightsaber fights?

That is what everyone is telling me I should be excited about? Heck, the robots didn't even get sliced in half. The lightsabers caused blood spurts? I don't get get it. Lightsabers slice and dice yet the enemies were all whole and the something that cauterizes as it cuts causes blood to squirt out in a cloud? Did not play KoTOR so don't know if same there but this is what as a Star Wars fan I am suppose to see as the way Star Wars should be done for an MMO?

I wanna be that guy throwing the little rocks at people with my mind! seriously though, the combat looks like turn based, it's bad.

That ought to give em enough fodder to come up with at least 150 new polls to vote on, over at the TOR forums  and keep them in the bathroom with the door locked for a few days,,

All this talk about bad animations... I think I've seen worse animations in Rift.

@CujoSWAoA: Remember when AoC came out and had super fluid live action style combat? Remember when you found out each zone had instances cause that amount of quality killed latency so you had pop limits of like 100 players per instance? This is a game of super story telling, not super combat.  Sure combat isn't innovative, but we don't always get everything we want in MMOs, now do we.

the fighting looks very... 'stiff' the animations are in dire need of a loosening up. also i dont think thats blood, thats some kind of spell effect.

Combat looks a lot like Warhammer to me , Not saying this is a bad thing but i really think they could do a bit better with it. I was pretty eager to play this game but the more i see the more dissapointed i get. I'm sure these video's don't do it much justice , I'm hoping the actual gameplay / Combat is more exciting than the video's make it seem.

The odd looking combat I think is just a side effect of the way the video is pieced together. If you watch actual game play, like the Taral V play through, you dont see the weird odities you see in this video.

Gameplay looks just like KOTOR which I expected.  Hope they have more choice than just one armor set per tree though.  I hate it when one class dominates and every third character you see is exactly the same.

Looks completely uninspiring. Imagine all dark jedi divided into five different armour types. Boring.

Whatever happened to customisation?
